I’m assuming the lower weight rating for the California model is just California being different. There isn’t any difference in how it’s built right?

So, no white color on the 2017's? Also, I think I read that Pioneer 1000's being sold in CA only have a bed load rating of 600lbs. Is that correct?

+Our_Tube World Correct, for the 2017 Pioneer 1000-5 Deluxe colors you have: Red, Metallic Blue and Phantom Camo. The upside though is that all 16-17 body panels are interchangeable within an hour with basically just allen wrenches for the doors and a couple of sockets up front for the under-hood piece. All 8 body panels can be had for less than $400 MSRP too so it's fairly cheap. The only body panels that cost more are the Phantom Camo and then the painted Matte Gray Metallic panels off of the 17' LE models. You're correct, the CA models are rated at 600lbs instead of 1,000lbs. CA models are easy to spot as they have an extra L in their model ID

Does anyone know where the transmission dipstick is on a 1000 5 pionner Honda, is it under the dump bed or under the front seat

+Shawn Maynard The subtransmission dipstick is under the front seat and the engine oil dipstick is under the plastic panel that says "not a step" that's visible when you dump the bed.

I'm sorry but that cage around the vehicle reminds me of the kids that have those braces for their teeth that goes all the way around their heads. Poor kids, i feel for them, and poor Pioneer.
