I disagree with many negative comments on this Grand Cherokee, I made the switch from a Land Rover Diesel to my Grand Cherokee because of the reliability. All Land Rover vehicles are so unreliable. My neighbor, my brother and my self went to the Jeep dealer at the same time to trade LR Diesels for the EcoDiesels from Jeep. We were tired of sensors failing, injectors, TPMS, and some smart features of the LR's whilst towing, off roading, boon docking. Now in my case I have 60K miles on my EcoDiesel Summit and not one gremlin on it so reliability is definitely there, after swapping the highway tires for some Nitto AT tires the Jeep Grand Cherokee felt even more capable (looking into a nice rim setup to go along with new KO2 tires now). Yes, I miss some of the luxury appointments form the LR's but now I can say I actually enjoy off roading and towing with my Jeep and also glad from not driving loaner vehicles from Land Rover for my many service visits nor the embarrassment of getting towed out of a camping or RV site. So you can not really say a lot of non sense and show your ignorance if you have not lived it. Or in other words...At least Purchase the vehicle and experience it before your hatred towards the unknown gets shot down because of your ignorance. Peace and love people.

Jeep Overlander You are right. Several people blindly and spontaneously accuse unduly the GC of being unreliable, to be a FIAT, and giving all the credit and the confidence to german or english cars... personally, I owned a GC WK diesel and attained almost 300.000 km without any major fix, and since 6 months, I am the happy owner of a 2018 GC overland diesel and it is a great car... i am still trying to figure out where this wrong bad image is coming from !!

I personally feel like the GC summit is just as comfortable as premium brand SUVs. Is there anything lacking in your opinion that the LR had? I feel like the GC offers the same experience at a much lower price tag. Very comparable. Was the LR quieter? Did it ride smoother? What are you referring to when you say it's not a luxury vehicle? It has all the features of one. Jeep is trying to become a premium brand and I think they've crossed that line at this point. At least with this model.

@@youssefsabiri3860 Very hardy SUV and reliable !! I have a request if you are in contact with representatives of a Jeep, then tell them for Russia they made the most reliable jeep! There is one Jeep Grand Cherokee in 2013 with a 3.6 engine, it has a mileage of almost 800,000 thousand kilometers or 497,096,954 thousand miles !! Not a problem except a broken gearbox !!

Quilted leather in a rental car? Come on man.
@Cleaning_Hero5 жыл бұрын
I don't see how wood and aluminum are dated? Its beautiful. Quilted leather stitching can also be found in Bentley and Rolls Royce models. It's a European interior design cue and unique considering how rare it is in non-premium bands. The only other option would be to eliminate it and then it would feel like a plain, non-premium vehicle with no character. This interior was clearly designed by artists for people that appreciate beauty and attention to detail and spend a lot of time in their vehicles. All other brands with premium vehicles also do this so not sure why you mentioned it.

his car must be solid gold which is why he thinks the jeeps interior is old looking

Wow this is one fancy Jeep that airlift suspension is super cool ! Land rovers are in my opinion one of the coolest vehicles ever made

i`ve never heard anyone say quilted leather and wood trim are getting old and outdated. must be nice to have such high society taste like you have. let me guess, you drive a gold plated vehicle with 24k gold trim throughout the cabin...must be nice

One feature I dislike, the power tailgate...and the lack of an opening rear window. I'd take the power tailgate if I could get a rear window that opened for easy access

I think Land Rovers look like prototypes that never completed the design process and went straight to production. They look like blank canvases. Maybe thats what people like about them. Surely its not the reliability.

so aluminum and wood are "dated" materials? That part makes no sense
@tomtalker20004 жыл бұрын
What doesn't make sense is a $77k sticker price. That's absurd for a jeep...!!!

Did you just say wood, aluminum, and LEATHER are old and brings the cabin down? Is it supposed to be made of stone??

These drive just as nicely as the BMW’s. Very smooth cruiser. Very quiet. Very comfortable. Although, they don’t take corners as well as the BMW. It’s not built for that either. It provides a genuine luxury SUV experience for much less than the luxury-brand competitors with the same options.

The driver and passenger seat adjustment knobs have limited adjustments and are so chintzy. Why they removed the stop n go feature I’ll never understand.

Take one of those luxury brands in for an oil change or a 30,000 mile "service " . I feel kinda smug in my 5.7 GC that'll run on regular gas and can have the oil changed at jiffy lube. Or maybe your idea of luxury is getting ripped off for service and maintenance and repairs.
@allenauto29316 жыл бұрын
When comparing to luxo brands why is cost of ownership always left out? Yes, you can get an entry level luxoute for the same price, but it will easily cost 4 times more to run it.
@WHERESSS5 жыл бұрын
this is a luxoute.

I don't see what premium brand SUVs offer that a GC can not. Smooth ride? Check. Quiet ride? Check. Premium interior? Check. Premium materials? Check. Heavy tight steering? Check. What else does it need?

one thing I would change about Grand Cherokee is to have a MANUAL TRANSMISSION... I just wish Jeep management does that... Technology reliance is sometimes NOT good. That's why I would choose LANDCRUISER GXL 76 series instead of Jeep...
