That big plastic top cover will sometimes comes loose on my jeep and it will make weird noises then I have to pull over and fix it 😂 took a while to figure out what it was!

Question, isn't there a sensor that has to be reset after changing the oil filter
@92813justin4 жыл бұрын
Yes. It’s on the dash.

is it metric or standard? you mention 1/2" plug but then 24mm filter socket..
@the1jzahn4 жыл бұрын
1/2" works for the drain plug as it equals 12.7mm. Factory manual states the drain plug size is 13mm.

@@the1jzahn the oil filter plug itself is just 1 inch socket too the one size i didnt have laying around so i had to use a crescent wrench which worked but gotta be careful with the plastic hex nut if doing it that way not to bend or strip it and i forgot my funnel too so i poured it in made a mess then just sprayed it with maguire degreaser with a follow up with the water hose and it came out fine good thing i park on the street my driveway would be stained forever if i did it on driveway but the asphalt doesnt really care if it gets a couple drops of oil or in my case 1/5 of a quart
