2017 Kia Rio Radio Problem Solved

So I was driving my Sister's Kia Rio when the radio went dead. It wasn't turning at all. I fell on your video as my first search and problem solved. The interior lights did not switch off like yours but as soon as I replaced the fuse the radio worked! Thanks a mill

Thank you! Was convinced this wasn't a fuse issue in my 2016 Rio, as my radio would power on and play, but none of the buttons on the panel or steering wheel would work. I assumed if it were the fuse, it wouldn't turn on at all. Other videos I've seen/forums I've read said you have to pull out the radio and re-solder the head contacts to fix this (yeah--I wasn't about to even try that). But simply pulling out and pushing back in the fuse did the trick (at least for the time being--fingers crossed that it lasts)--I didn't even need to replace the fuse with a new one. A big load off my mind!

Thank you! The same thing just happened on my 2019 Kia Rio, and I'm happy to say it was the same exact fix--that big yellow one wasn't pushed in all the way. Once I popped it in, the infotainment screen came back on.

Thanks I have the same problem with my Rio 2013. After I turned the key the radio is working...than I start the motor and the radio isn't working.... I had this problem four times...in three times it worked to take off the fuse and put it in again...

I'm glad I posted the video. It helped a lot of people at 1st my radio was turning on one day and off the next. I'm thinking how it could have been anything people were telling me to disconnect the battery reconnect it could have been a loose wire behind the radio just anything so I'm glad I was able to find the loose fuse and And very happy to see it was a help to many people

And thinking about it is just really crazy that they would charged you When they knew it all along. They would have took your money, changed the fuse and said they did something else. Smh!

My 2010 has done this for years. Sometimes I need to leave the fuse disconnected overnight for it to work again.

No, every few weeks it’ll stop working and I have to pull the fuse to make it work again, occasionally it won’t work again unless I leave the fuse out overnight.

Don't yank on your wires, there's tabs to press in on the yellow double fuse holder.

What you ACTUALLY did was diconnect the multimedia system: the radio, the voice commands, and the bluetooth. Any saved power drained away. Then, when you plugged it back in, it reset (rebooted) the three systems that were previously confused. This will happen again to you. What I am going to do for my piece of mind is to shut off the blue tooth and shut off the voice commands, and just enjoy the radio and the cd player. There should be no confusion again in my car!!! I don't think you had a loose fuse. You had a confused multimedia radio/cd player. Crappy Microsoft software, I have heard.

I'm glad you're the only one that thinks so And No I haven't had the problem again it was a loose fuse simple as that And there's many comments to prove it You just sound very angry so go watch another video And keep up your negative comments 👍
