why they haven't done short ratio gears for F models? With n/a engine and peak torque available at higher rpm it will be nice to have shorter gears to keep engine at it's maximum performance when need to.

I think they know that this car is not for real ricers, and all the others would love to feel a lot of torque on low revs when you start to accelerate. In this way they're right - maybe performance is worse, but the feeling when you drive is amazing. This big naturally-inspired V8 is a great feature comparing to smaller turbo engines.

I'm a 2017 GSF owner. In my opinion, The long first 3 gear is not bad at all as GSF is already very quick. For 0-100 a GT-R without launch control will also need about 4 seconds. Plus, with the tamer throttle I could save a lot of gas and tires for daily drives and will not be STUPID fast like GT-Rs!!! (My previous car was 2007 G35S and I think this fancy Toyota is kind of SMART fast) As a result, at normal mode GSF's MPG is about the same as my previous Nissan, the tire consumption is much less than that Nissan. Of course, GSF is still much faster when it really needed. By the way, a Panamera turbo 100-200 also needs about 8.5 seconds... (GSFs are just a little slower off the line)

Sounds amazing . But one problem….. i have 2017 wrx FBO running E50 stock turbo and I seriously think I’d be door to door with a gsf. Not trying to talk shit to all you Lexus guys at all cause I love this car . I’m just saying I think Lexus needs to swap supercharger for a large turbo and or twin set up … or a bigger supercharger from factory . Also lose some Pounds lol she a thick one

It’s a NA engine and big part of it’s charm. I’ve got 4,4s 0-100km/h with draggy (only tried it a few times) and a 12,4s 1/4 @ 183 km/h. Bone stock and the car doesn’t have launch control, so it only gets going once it’s at ~3500rpm which hurts the time.
