Thanks for the information. This was a HUGE help. We had a lightning strike hit and fry the PCB in our 2017 LG Washer (or I was hoping that was the issue). I was able to remove the PCB, order a new one for $160 and everything is fine now. You saved me from having to deal with a 2-star rated appliance repair shop (and the overpriced service calls).

Great work, Mark. Glad it worked out. I appreciate the note! I think lightening strikes may have been the root cause because others in my neighborhood had other types of power problems at similar timeframes--so I highly suggest plugging your machine into a power strip w/breaker.

PCB or Printed Circuit Boards can be damaged by a voltage spikes through indirect lightening strikes, for example. I installed one of those common power surge protectors, similar to what you'd plug you personal computer into, to the duplex outlet and now plug the washing machine into that. Sensitive electronics. Nice, but expensive.

All the videos say, just flip the head peace to the front. Mine does not do that. I noticed that you removed the front base to the head. Does that need to come off first? How did you do it?

Yes, perhaps there was a trim piece on the front side base of the control panel assembly. There are definitely Philips screws holding it in--I just can't remember exactly where, but several on the back side as well.
