2008 MY09 Lancer Sportback VRX in manual owner here, LOVE that car. So reliable, has only ever not started up once and never had any mechanical issues with it. Love giving it the Italian Tune Up every now and then (there's something about driving a slow car fast). Handles great, heaps of room with the seats folded down, love that the trunk floor can be lowered and the two cargo boxes in the trunk. Just wish the guy I bought it off opted for the upgraded sound system and sunroof, that would be a perfect car for me.

So sad that they are discontinuing this car, my 2017 Es has always been my favorite car I've ever owned. People always say the interior looks cheap but honestly I like the simplicity of it, another common complaint is the AC can be way too loud at times. Honestly I have to agree but it's not a big deal, just before I go turn down the windows and blast the AC to get out all the hot air so I barely have to have the AC on. I also love how you can change from Front wheel drive to four wheel drive with just the hit of a switch.

I do believe they are only discontinuing the Lancer EVO, I think they are still keeping the regular Lancer.

I have the es but its only fwd but i love it i do agree on the ac but its not bad and have you done any mods by chance?

I went from the 2006 Lancer Ralliart 5speed which was totaled in 2017 and jumped into the 2.4L SE model Pearl white. Now 114,000. I have loved the Lancers and it saddens me now when getting service all I see on Mitsubishi lots are EVs and SUVs which I have no interest in. I guess my next car will be the Subaru, as I wish the Lancer was not retired.

refresh my ass, lancer is beautiful , only thing i would like to see is them to bring back the jet fighter look on the lancer update the audio with larger screen and little interior upgrades than the car is perfect but I will enjoy my 2017 GTS until they come back

I'm wondering why didn't the final edition Lancer have the Grand Lancer interior redesign and why sell a car with same stuff no LED headlights or taillights ,new spoiler ,hood or EVO X packages a least what a lack of innovation and straight laziness definitely loss sell vs Civic turbo,new Impreza etc

You forgot to tell everyone you will be discontinuing the lancer how stupid no one wants that damn econo box I have bought 4 mitsubishi products and once they are paid off I will be done with y'all I got a 2013 lancer gt a 2013 outlander sport and a 2017 outlander SEL and a 2011 lancer se

10 years after launch of this 4B1x series, Mitsubishi haven't solve with the throttle lag problem. Maybe you guys from Mitsubishi are waiting for some serious death accident, then you will just do something about it
