i had a 2008 lancer evolution until few months ago. 10 years it lasted without any major issues and i drove the shit out of it. never seen a car with such good build quality .

10 years old and still looks a decent car inside out. There are many "modern" cars out there but they are mostly uncomfortable rubbish full of stupid futures that will never anyone use them, this is a classic small sedan 🚘

8 Seconds is plenty fast. Jesus. Are we all Racing? People drive too fast on American roads, anyway. This car is often discounted from 16 grand in SE 2.4 liter form. That is way cheaper than a mid range Impreza, and about the same as the smaller 4 cyl engine model in base form (which is far less responsive). These are a great deal. Been around a while, little changes, but they were good enough to stay the same.

Outdated as it may appear, I still like this car. I am currently driving one as a loaner while my car is being serviced at the Mitsubishi dealer. My loaner has the 2.0 with the CVT and although I would never expect to win any acceleration contests with many other cars, this one is what I would accept as adequate. It will get out of its own way if needed. Handling is more agile than I expected as is the lack of noise from the engine compartment. The highlight for me is the Rockford Fosgate sound system that simply kicks ass! Are there better or worse vehicles out there? For sure. For the money, this car has a lot of value for what you pay for. Sad that Mitsubishi has dropped the ball by discontinuing it and improving on a model that is not nearly as bad as the critics say. Drive one yourself and draw your own conclusions.

I like my 2017 lancer SEL W/ remote start, AWD, 9 speaker stereo, heated seats and outside mirrors, auto dimming rearview mirror, sunroof, back up camera, perfect Bluetooth, leather, 4whl disc brakes, 18" rims, auto on headlights, rain sensing wipers, climate control, folding rear seats, and independent rear suspension. Independent rear suspension and 4whl disc brakes corolla doesn't have still. So what else for $21500 can you buy with all this that handles decently?
@jacobreed477 жыл бұрын
neverendingmods You made a bad choice buying a new Lancer. even if its loaded. its full of cheap parts, low tech, poor design, weak engine, sad CVT, 90s, seat heater switches, old yellow halogen headlights, no new repair parts after 2 years. etc...etc..etc... answer your question- Hyundai Elantra is cheaper with lots more tech, better powertrain, overall a better vehicle.
@neverendingmods7 жыл бұрын
Acuravigor47 Hyundai charges $4400 for HID headlights. I added the best hyluxtec ballasts you can buy for 80 + 20 hid bulbs for total of $100. Both have 100k mile warranty and only lancer has AWD. I had owned an Elantra before. Tons of problems even during warranty period. I've owned many NEW cars and motorcycles. I'm 42, not 22 yrs old. And no repair parts for a Mitsubishi Lancer...lol Many components shared with Outlander sport.

Yea the Lancer will live on in China and other markets as the "Grand Lancer". The Grand Lancer has a decent interior refresh. I personally don't think the exterior looks bad at all. If it only had a decent powertrain..

Very impressive review. Thank you! I actually looked at one when I traded my 2015 Mirage ES with Navigation but I decided to go with the 2017 Mirage G4 SE because of the MPG, Price, Features, Wine Red Color and Light Gray Interior, Larger Rear Seat Than The Lancer and Apple Carplay. But overall I like the Lancer and it is proven to be very Reliable and was voted the most Reliable car over how many years of all cars! Thank you the honest review so that people wanting this car can see a decent review instead of bashing it.
@Pokemonguy16RS6 жыл бұрын
Honestly, they killed it with the new front end and with the rearview camera mounted ONTO the trunk!! It doesn't look very aggressive...honestly, the 2015 Evo's and the lancers were the last true Mitsubishi lancers/Evo's.

It’s AWC. All Wheel Control. When it’s on, it’s always working. At any speed. But you can turn it off for better MPG in FWD mode.
