I've put 38K miles on a '15 SV Sedan that I bought from Hertz with 34K miles. It's been trouble free from the get-go. Better tires make these cars a LOT more fun to drive, and I do drive mine a lot! Don't listen to people who tell you 109 HP is not enough; I am old enough to remember small cars wheezing from 0-60 in over 20 seconds. This one takes about 9 1/2 to 10 seconds to make that run, and that's plenty fast for me. Gas mileage is definitely the car's strong point. I have averaged 34.4 MPG since buying the car, and have hit 40 MPG several times. Going from Kentucky to the Gulf Coast and back earlier this year, we averaged 37.6 with 4 aboard and a trunk full of luggage and souvenirs. This impressed me. I love working on the car - but I don't have to do much to it! Just routine maintenance, and that's cheap and easy. Oil and filter changes cost $15 or less, and that's using synthetic oil from our local farm store. I do wish the car was a little quieter, and had the new stereo the '18.5 and '19 models have. Backup camera would be nice too. But overall, I'm mighty happy with it and hope to get a lot more use from it!

The only issue stopping me for considering the versa is the CVT. I have been reading many bad reviews about the longetivity about the cvts
@davidnonnemeyer81206 жыл бұрын
FYI, Enterprise (and likely other national car rental companies) always orders their cars with spare tires so if a renter gets a flat and needs assistance the tow operator contracted from Enterprise can come and install the spare as opposed to an inflator kit which if no use on a damaged tire would result in a costly tow. This is why most cars with an inflator kit still have a well for a spare tire, to accommodate fleet sales ordering a spare. The retail version of this Versa likely comes with an inflator kit.
@davidnonnemeyer81206 жыл бұрын
Correction: After researching it appears the retail Versa does come with a spare tire.

Good review, thanks. I just dropped my daily driver at the body shop this morning, and Enterprise gave me one of these for the next few days. I was kinda lost on the steering wheel buttons (very strong sun here in Long Beach today) and finally got the car home ok after a short drive. Only thing I couldn't figure out was a lever on the left side of the steering column, which I assumed was some type of wheel-height adjustment, but I couldn't find any sign of life there. Otherwise, the rest of the interior controls seem to work decently, and the car should be OK for the brief time my DD is in the body shop. Ralph L. Seifer, Long Beach, California

While not a bad car, it still could have more standard equipment on the midlevel SV trim as shown here (SiriusXM Satellite Radio and Bluetooth Streaming Audio, for example). It seems like the only things added with the SV from the S are power windows, mirrors, and locks, cruise control, and keyless entry. Also, the car is starting to get old quick, it just needs a redesign. But it IS a better deal than a Smart Car, as it costs less money, seats 3 more people, and actually has a trunk, so it's got that going for it. :)
