@@mindxshook Many reasons 1) They made in only one factory in the world like the big guys (Porsche, Ferraris, Lamborghinis) 2) Not too many in the street and the majority are mods. Not too many originals. 3) Have a different concept than the others modern sport cars. It's almost unique. 4) The model won many awards 5) It's one of the last TRUE sport car in the market (RWD, Manual gearbox, electronic assistance deactivatable) 6) Delighful driving experience 7) Forbes already publish that is gonna be a future classic 8) Heritage. His father (The Toyota GT2000) its a classic (An expensive one) 9) It's a colaboration between two japanese giants, Toyota and Subaru 10) Is beautiful

Also, I would have bought this if it had apply CarPlay. It's 2017 and life is busy, stuff like that makes things easier. In traffic, a sonar brake would be good too. After work, sometimes I'm a bit fried and attention span is gone, something like a GTI would take better care of me, which counts.

Hmm. 2 excellent cars to drive. If we look at it simply it's really a choice between a convertible or a little more space and an attempt at back seats. So based on that, if it's the only car in your home I would say BRZ but if you have a second car in the house then it will be the MX-5 RF. I think this is absolutely a great review. However, I couldn't concentrate on the car. I really think the 86s are sexy (I own a 2016 BRZ Hyper Blue), but Jenna...you are distracting the hell out of me! Too bad ladies don't go for middle aged rice racers...I'm taken anyhow...haha

Yeah, Its really not that fast in a straight line, but what it can't do in a straight line, it'll kill most cars in the corners. Also I'm willing to assume that your gti wouldn't beat my supercharged 86.

A new mk7 GTI is only tenths of a second faster to 60. They aren't that far apart unless you did some ridiculous k04 18 psi boost tune. And even then your GTI is still a nose heavy fwd econobox with a high center of gravity. The BRZ is lighter, significantly more balanced, better double wishbone suspension, rwd, better steering, sigficantly lower center of gravity... so on and so forth. It's a sports car. The GTI is more practical though.

Umm? really? They seem to be pretty equal. I like revving the motor out in the BRZ more. The mx-5 motor dies out in high revs. The Miata is a tad bit more nimbler due to less weight but the BRZ corners more flat and has a quicker ratio rack with a more rigid chassis. The BRZ is more practical also. It's a close call. No wrong decision here.
