What a thrill. I never owned a Gixxer, and never had a passion for it. But boy, Suzuki made me dream about this one.

I started my passion with suzukis back on 1986 when they "invented" race replica bikes with the first and mighty gsxr750. 170kg 100hp. Had many since then and I was waiting for this one since 2008...

He wants to say that this is the best liter bike but they have to wait till the shootout. This will win you can tell by his expressions. It will also be the most comfortable to ride on the street like it's predecessor. The GSXR10000 is back and I'll take one in black to mask the ugly face but GSXR's were never good looking bikes kind of like the Subaru WRX STI of motorcycles. I don't care though it's all about the ride not what other people want. You can go get a 959 Panigale if you want looks and people to stare at you while you roast your balls from heat of the desi motor.
@IamLaR18 жыл бұрын

I love the GSXR’s and GSXS1000’s, that’s what I want, the do it all fast bike for the road! I’m to old to ride all day on a full super sport so I’m wanting a fast comfortable bike now! I have rode most bikes out there and the ZX10RR and R1 will always be my favorites. The R1 for its amazing handling and light feel and the Kawasaki for its raw blistering power those ZX10RR’s just scream down the road! I liked my R6 but it was just a bit to small for me and I would have loved more torque so I figure a new naked 1000cc bike will be perfect for me same speed as 600 super sport and straight up riding position!

@ChrisJohn_4448 жыл бұрын
It's just such a bargain for what you get and especially when you consider what its fore-running Japanese counterpart is asking for its 1000RR. It's a non-brainer, imo. I like the new headlight too...reminds me of an MV Agusta.
@andrekhan10368 жыл бұрын
Exactly MV gets away with it but when Suzuki does it people call it ugly. WTF?
@RudraxT8 жыл бұрын
most of them are idiots and talk shit about the bike before sawing it in flesh
@ChrisJohn_4448 жыл бұрын
Andre Khan Well, of the two, MV is the originator, but I know what you mean. Japanese bikes have been bulletproof for years, but if MV all of a sudden started making THEIR bikes reliable, MV would likely get the credit. Reliability is nice to have, but many consider it boring and take it for granted. I'm a fan of gixxers and I think their racing paint scheme is a little tired. I think that paint scheme turns some people off Suzukis that have it. Having said that, this new gixxer looks pretty awesome all in black, with the blue accents, or even the red as we have it here in Canada.

Ehhh... you can buy an Aprilia RSV4 RR for less. Wicked bikes. ZX10R and S1000RR are right in the running, too.
@ChrisJohn_4448 жыл бұрын
Steve C Ya, I had an RSV4 R before it got stolen. Definitely a sweet bike, but on the heavier side, relatively. The front end is beautifully engineered and the sound of the engine and exhaust is intoxicating. Because of its rarity in my area and consequent desirability, I won't have another one until I have a non-communal garage that I can build into a vault. Otherwise, with all the options we have now in the litre, supersport segment, I agree that we're pretty spoiled.

Bike looks dated even before hitting show room floor. You can have all the tech in the world but if your product looks like it came from your 2005 line-up then you deserve to get beaten up on sales and then some. Suzuki HAD ALL THE TIME IN THE WORLD to bring a super sharp killer 1000 and they come out with this . . . nah, i would take the BMW with my eyes closed, even if it made 100hp. BTW: I own a Suzuki.

:-) I did not suggest Daytona as I thought you are more into Japanese 600s, but yes, Daytona is great, I have one myself, 2015 model. :-) I do like how R6 looks, both the previous version and the new version, R6 always looks sharp! I don't know what you mean by "R6 is old", they've updated it this year. Yes, the engine is not new, but it is a great engine with screaming top end. R1 is not new anymore, two years old now. GSXR1000 and Fireblade are new though.
@Pillokun8 жыл бұрын
Serge Go the frame and swingarm is also old on the r6. if a bike should be classified as new at least the frame should be new. The fireblade is only a "refresh" to be honest as not even the engine is new and the frame is same with same geometry(thinner walls is nothing special and radical). Only two bikes are totally new compared to the bikes it replaced and it is the now older R1 and the new gixxer 1000. All the other bikes are quite old.
