One of the best resumed review of the model S man.

Bloody hell, I feel as though this guy is the first person to review and actually understand a Tesla. Other people just mention the obvious stuff like acceleration or lack of noise and skip the software features altogether or complain about the price. Kudos to you, Phil, for being so open-minded.

Well, yes, but where's he been for the last few years? He's a car guy, right, yet talks about the car as though this is the first time he's really thought about it or bumped into any of its many remarkable features. But a likeable guy and a gentle review.

Nice review. Having test driven one for about 25 miles, I'm absolutely head over heels in LOVE with the Tesla model S. You can have your BMW 7's, Mercedes, Lexus etc- the model S wins hands down in pretty much every single area other than the time to "refuel". However even that is not really an issue due to great range and of course the vast majority of "refuelling" (ie:recharging ) done at home whilst you're asleep, thus no more visits to the local gas station to fill up, which is awesome. Once you drive a really decent electric car like the S, especially in traffic, (but yes, also on the highway) you'd never go back, period. And now there's a 2015 model out there with over 300,000 MILES on the clock, still going perfectly, reliability has been fantastic and running costs (ie fuel and servicing) are just a fraction of the petrol equivalent. The battery management software is so good in these cars that the batteries last just about forever, probably even far longer than a comparable piston engine, whether petrol or diesel....and all with just about zero maintenance. Tesla have really done their homework, this is an absolutely awesome vehicle. Love your work Mr Musk and team. My only decision now is whether to spend the money on perhaps a used S, or wait for a 3. One way or the other, it's a no brainer compared to a conventional vehicle. It will be quite a long wait for a model three.

Ha! Ha! It's the dang test drive. Before my test drive, I told my wife, "Whatever I say or do, don't let me buy it. Please, under no circumstances let me buy it." Before we got out of the lot, I was saying, "Well, maybe I might need to reconsider." By the end, I was like, "Okay, where do I sign." My wife wanted it as well, so no resistance. Hands down, easily the best car I've ever driven.

I wish more Tesla reviewers would show a trip to the Supercharger Stations. The production values and quality of these reviews deserve much more than 15k views and 3 k subscribers.

Remember, that loud exhaust you enjoy, people that live next to that road would typically enjoy the lack of noise. There are more cars on the road every day. The quieter they are, the better it is for your neighbors.

How can you make a video about the P100D and not even once stepped on the accelerator to schow the acceleration??? Every Tesla video hast to have a 0-60 part in it...

I'm surprised you didn't mention the material used or built quality inside the car and say it doesn't feel luxurious, coz most of the video I watch they always complain about that which I think they don't have nothing to say about much negative about the car.

they really need to make a chauffeur mode in which the car comes to pick you up and then leave you at your destination and goes to park itself.

I'm 6'8" and I had an easier time in the previous model. Leg room is alright, but I was a bit tight in headroom. I think they made the seats thicker and that made it feel like there is less headroom. And I'm proportionate, too.

P100D owner here. The turning radius is roughly on par with other large sedans. Not great, but it's small enough to make u-turns when i need to. legroom is okay, but if you're huge, it might be a tight fit. the back seats are slightly closer to the floor than one might expect. i think that's to give more headroom than the tapered rear end would normally afford.

"Top of the line version"... yeah for a month or so until the next better one comes out. Seems like they crank out new, better models too quickly. Also, I'd say the styling needs some update after these first few years.

Still the best model, and in 2019 the model y comes out but that's a medium tier suv, so this will be the top of the line til at least 2020. Your comment didn't age well.

Plus Tesla has banned leather seats in its cars. BMW, Mercedes,Audi, Porsche don't have the balls to do that.

Does not seem they did it for purposes of banning leather. Sure there was customer demand, but Tesla had developed really effect synthetic Super White fake leather that has been proving to be very resistant to stains.

You can get a BTW 7 Series full accessorized for the same price tag? You forgot to mention that Tesla doesn't even have automatic windscreen wipers, seat position memory, full LED adaptive lights....should I continue? this car is awesome, but it is still a niche product...an M4 with all accessories it's almost half the price. Ok, not as fast as the Tesla but still ridiculously fast for normal roads

Good basic information. Tesla MS are bought by "adult" drivers therefore comment about adding features that are useless, but people will pay for is off base. No we won't. The interior finish of a MS is ...far..inferior..to a MB S Class, BMW 7, Audi 8, etc ...way inferior, not even close..... Fyi ... I drive a BMW and am about to buy a MS, plus have on order a M3 for the wife...
