This is not the platinum version, with the limited platinum you get heated steering wheel 2nd row captains chairs and panoramic roof, those are the main things I noticed between the limited and limited platinum...

JOZEZAZO HD Probably the highlander because the engine components and materials are from a U.S Hilux and a Lexus transmission plus 15+ years of reliability and cheap maintenance. But if you're willing to pay the price for repairs on the CX-9, then you should buy the CX-9.

The tiny bumps for aerodynamic is BS. They are way too small to make any difference. Better then these bumps would be to keep the front of the vehicle similar to Toyota RAV, which is much more aerodynamic to the point of noticeable performance. The front of these car is almost a flat wall. Who comes up with this Design? The car is already so big, it needs as much aerodynamic as possible. The side mirrors design is also a disaster...

Pano moonroof is available only on the top trim, Limited Platinum. With the 2017 Highlanders you have the option to get the bench seat on even the top trip levels. 2014-2016 Limited/Limited Platinum models only came with captain chairs.

I did not say that something is wrong with Halogens, just a bit dated in term of auto head light technology. It is like saying nothing is wrong with the incandescent bulbs we used at home either but they are dated, inefficient and, guess what?, most were replaced with LED bulbs. I just wanted to point out that halogens are just not as cool and as efficient as LEDs :).

What's the story on the transmission, a lot of people getting their 8 speed transmissions replaced seems their is a problem.
