I love the style! I love the traditional, rugged construction! I wish we could get something like this in America! It looks like there is an interesting mix of old and new technology. The engine appears to have coil packs over each cylinder, like a modern car. I love the metal intake manifold and solid front axle! It looks like it is built to endure. It also looks like it would be easy and inexpensive to service.

@@cascaretthatsright9204 I bought a brand new UAZ Hunter in Dec 2015 and absolutely love it. What other 4X4 can you buy for less than $10,000 USD brand new? I'm an Australian living in Armenia and wanted a car that could take me anywhere. My UAZ has taken me to the tops of mountains, through river crossings and on the roughest roads imaginable, without problems. I wasn't interested in electronics or creature comforts, so this utilitarian vehicle is perfect for me. It's horses for courses, but I wouldn't refer to it is a piece of junk...I think that's an unfair comment. Some people like simple cars, while others like fine, expensive cars. Everyone is different. Shit I wish Jeeps were still this basic. I have a 2003 TJ and its great, but theres several frills on it that are ticking time bombs. Everything is electronic! 👎 I want a mechanical fuel pump. Internal coil distributor ignition. Carburetor. No computer or sensors! I suppose theres tradeoffs. Diagnostics are easier with OBD systems and often times easily fixed, but once those spare sensors etc dry up, its game over. I love the UAZ Hunter just looking at it, dont like that it has leaf spring rear end though. Small tradeoff, I would love to have one of these, as long as I had a parts supplier.

If you live in mountain or forest or if you want to live forest spirit in the city this is the car. For Mountaineers, Hunters, Fishers, Campers, Bushcrafts, Survivalists.. Everything simple, even you can do some maintanance issues, if you know some mechanics i guess. But most people are not agree because we can not see those in the traffic. For example I have not seen one. Not availible in my country. And I am sorry that this kind of vehicles will finish production because people want fancy cars. Great looking vehicle, and the old school approach is what people are looking for. Would be nice to see a tachometer added to keep track of engine revs. If this vehicle produces sufficient heat for the north eastern european countries it would be suitable for the canadian climate. It would likely need airbags and possibly abs to meet code here. Rather then comparing it to a wrangler - see it as a worthy competitor when compared to a utv. And the enclosed cab gives it the edge for climate reasons. That's where it will shine. It's not meant to be filled with electronics - because sensors and wiring are the areas that can fail. See it as a vehicle that does what it is intended to do - without all the bells and whistles.
