Still dialing in the new POV setup! Next one will be in wide mode for sure. This didn't show enough of the wheel and peripherals but the drive was a blast and absolutely worth sharing for the driver perspective and passenger perspective. Full Mod list in the description.

Small thing, but through your work there is a consistent subtext of respecting ones car and enjoying the ride. We live in these you tube and performance spec driven times where something is the best and everything else rubbish, for ten minutes until something else is better, and where people get more pleasure slagging than actually enjoying and driving..you drive some exotic machines, and some fairly approachable ones, cars personalized, maybe that’s better term than modified, and all enjoyed by their owners. That’s the cool aspect..the unwritten competition of things having to be the best and it being some entitlement thing..that’s inevitable a losing proposition ..you look for the best in everything you drive, and it’s less about something better than something else, and when you are on the track it’s about improving, not so much beating someone..everyone wins by driving well..maybe off topic, but i think the sensibility is a common thread across all your stuff

What a hoot to see you on the “AppGap”! Way back when I’d tear up that road with my 944, hanging the tail out through most every turn. Loads of fun then with only 150hp and fun to see it now in the GTI!

Honestly loud tires are hilarious. My DZ102s are loud and it’s nice to have an audible warning that your tires are running out of stick

I hate squeaky all-seasons with a passion, and I say this because that's what I'm running on my Mk7 right now; luckily, Pilot Sport 4 are coming soon. Where was it filmed? Those roads look amazing.

The OTS tunes aren't that good, they're extremely underpowered. Go with a flash tune from Stratified: You'll definitely see a difference and love it.

Thinking of going COBB for my GTI MK6. It's a DSG almost 70k miles so I don't want a super aggressive map and also want to have the luxury of seeing my temps and etc. Anyone here have feedback?

Leave room on the table..sage advice..cyclists, deer...the car appears to handle quite differently then rwd, but no less fun..it looks fun..small cars are loads of fun even tho they may lack the numbers of bigger, higher performing...that’s a blast no matter lap times etc...the tires sure took a beating tho

Looks like the Sports trim, shame they dropped that trim.
@bfielder90974 жыл бұрын
They essentially brought it back in 2019 with the Rabbit trim. It's basically the refreshed Sport.

and he got it in the correct color, or course.👌 also, 7:46 had me like 🙃. I'm envious of that diff; mine's the open version. wanna put a wavetrac in later, but 💸💸

Wow yeah I can tell what you mean about that diff when you're taking corners! How much power does the cobb stg 1 tune add?

At what temperature do you become concerned with your oil?
@JShayy5 жыл бұрын
Idk. I cant get my apr stg2 past 218f. Even pounding it for 45 minutes in 95 degree heat. I typically run under 212 in an hour hwy commute
@opencarry38605 жыл бұрын
@@JShayy Have your temp sending unit checked, hard driving should have your oil temps in the high 220's to low 230's. Did you upgrade your intercooler?
@JShayy5 жыл бұрын
@@opencarry3860 looked into this more. Nothing wrong with the sensor. The apr tune temp management does this. Google it. I guess that's a benefit over the cobb ots.

Depends on the car for example I had a mk5 jetta 2.5 and it would never go above 220 degrees vs my mk7 gti i have now it gets up to 235-245 degrees

What trim do you have that diff???
@devn38134 жыл бұрын
All new GTI and GLIs come with the limited slip differential. The old ones needed the performance package to receive the diff.
@ARentz074 жыл бұрын
You need to have the performance package to get the limited slip diff. It's standard on newer GTIs like Midwest Mopars said, but back in 2017 it was not standard on the base model GTIs.

COBB tunes are weaker than APRs. I got my Mk7 tuned by APR and it makes around 300 whp.

Ahh good to know! Now, hate to be that guy, but I’m currently looking at switching to something German in the next year (coming from an 09 TL FWD as my daily/hoopty for 6 years) and I’m somewhat torn between MK7 GTIs and F10 (2014) 535s and I gotta ask what would be a better overall choice? Both have a good modding community behind it, plenty of addons available and both seem to make good power with tuning. Either would be had in auto.
