I absolutely love your videos, but it is so strange hearing you say you prefer the paddles on the steering wheel instead of the steering column. I hate going around a turn using the paddle shifters on the wheel, because on sharp enough turns I sometimes hit the wrong paddle, or can't reach the paddle I want to use... I love the F1 style paddles on the column. You always know where there are, and you don't have to go reaching for them around turns. Exactly why the race cars have them on the column. Why would you prefer them on the steering wheel? Just curious. Anyway, keep up the good work! I love your thorough testing of these vehicles! You do a great job!

I always curious when people yell me it is better to have them on the column because "you always know where they are". So we don't know where they are if on the steering wheel? If on the wheel they are always within reach by your finger tips...on the column they can only be reached when going in a straight line. I do not understand how you can't reach a wheel mounted paddle in a turn---it is right there at your tips, and if you cant reach with your finger you will never be able to reach the side column. How is it possible to reach the wrong paddle on the wheel? Left finger for low shift, right for HI shift or opposite on other cars. You never have to remove your hand--they are right there. Race cars have them on the column because it is too expensive to design a system into a steering wheel unless it is mass produced, much cheaper to mount a system on a column--just bolt it on. And race car drivers don't shift in corners much as they already know what turns are ahead on a race track and shift before the turn. On the street that is not the case, and that is why about 95% of production cars have them on the steering wheel.

Having test driven both, the Audi is less engaging to drive but has a far nicer interior. The Kia is more driver focused
