Cool! The oil filter is in an easy to get at spot. It’s still underneath the engine facing up angled back a bit. I have a 1990 Honda Accord and the Oil filter is completely on its side facing forward. That one is a little hard to get at but it’s not that bad.
@captainjack68902 жыл бұрын
I add oil to the new filter before installing it. Not sure it make a significant difference, but I think it reduces the circulation time for the new oil by a second or so.

I agree this does help!

How do the Continental DWS 06 tires perform in the dry and the rain?
@marcsmith38815 ай бұрын
This is why I only go out to do oil changes on Mercedes Vehicles. They have had the oil filter element on top for almost 30 years with few exceptions. Laying on the ground is never pleasant especially if you forget something. Don't forget to reset the oil life monitor.

Do you guys work on cars like if someone brought in their 10th gen accord and wanted you to do something if they didn't have a garage themselves? Or do you guys strictly bring in cars you guys buy for engineering and design purposes? Like a lab? No unauthorized personnel?

I have a 2020 Accord 1.5t. I love it. I drive about 30 miles to work and average 38 mpg. My Harley Davidson has a 1.8 liter and gets 42 mpg. For oil changes on the Accord I use the fast lane. The guy down in the pit complained about the shield. I’m guessing he took the large one off and may not have needed to

hello my 2020 Accord I made the change with the dealers at 4500 miles his first service is currently at 6300 miles I live in California and I plan to drive to New York which is about 2700 miles on the highway. Do you think that I should change the oil before leaving, currently has little more than 6000 miles?
@HPSPerformance3 жыл бұрын
I would probably change the oil just to be on the safe side cause that is a long drive

How stupid for still not adding flip doors or openings for the necessary service spots. My 2009 accord is the same except the cover is in plastic and I cut out an opening for transmission fluid bolt area the last time I changed it and yesterday was a breeze changing both engine and transmission without taking cover off

Does the copper drain washer is reusable?
@HPSPerformance3 ай бұрын
Copper washers shouldn't be reused as its a soft metal and crushes when torqued down to seal.
