I’ve rode the 2016 500. I noticed on these newer ones it only had LHNR. No parking spot on the shifter. I take it you have to put the park break on every time now? And on the 2016 it had 2wd-4wd-lock4wd. This one doesn’t have the lock. Is this atv still a true 4x4?

Good question. I have no idea if the front and rear are truly locked when in 4wd. I can say that when I was going through the 6-9 inches of mud/water not once did I get stuck.

It does not have a locking dif it’s an all wheel drive system so you will have slip

@@tomschumacher5434 It has a selective 2wd/4wd switch on the bars that engages the the front end.

i am just wondering how you are liking the 500 cc, if you had to do it again, would you go bigger? or does it have enough power to work & play?

It's mainly used around our cabin hauling a trailer loaded with firewood, leaves, dirt, etc. I haven't taken it on any ATV trails yet, just goofing off on the property. For it's purpose it's been great. Pretty peppy for a 500.

I have this same machine. I find that it lacks power on hills and doesn’t have a lot of take off power. Do you guys notice this also or is it just me.

@@wnohart1 For what I need the quad for I think the power is fine. I haven't taken any long trail trips and I think the acceleration for this machine is fine. And getting a larger 700 would be overkill for what I need it for.

I have this same machine, and love it. I have two complaints. It’s extremely easy to tip (I’ll explain) and it doesn’t have true 4 wheel drive, so there is no locking differential. I live in Alaska and use it for plowing my drive and big game hunting. My machine has been through THE roughest country loaded for a weeks worth of gear. On these trails I go to the mountain range of interior Alaska you have to jump all over this machine to make sure it doesn’t tip. I put wheel spacers and bigger tires to help with the issue. My point is for one of the cheapest machines in its class it’s more than capable for what you’re buying. The kymco engine is fabulous and it shifts great!

How fast does it go
@twincitiesdashcam91194 жыл бұрын
I think I've had it up to 40mph, and it seemed to have a bit rpms left. I really don't drive it very fast- just work around the yard.
