Those German’s are mad! It’s impressive how much abuse those engines can take from all of that modding all of the way down to their 4 cylinders, those engines are overbuilt for sure! I’m a BMW guy but that 5 cylinder is impressive as well. Imagine the S58.

Ahhhh Germans are just so amazing 👏🏼 🤩🤩🙏🏼 This little rs3 and supra are phenomenal!!! These cars aren't unreliable the transmissions and engines aren't bad, it's just all that damn plastic around it is what gives issues. If you do the maintenance the engine needs it won't go wrong, some B58's are being dailyed and have over 300,000 km.

​@@hquwx6027 Limits is a loose word, but what he said is true, once you start tuning the engine the longevity is reduced one way or another. Its impressive how fast these cars can be tuned to, this video is direct proof of that but there is no documented proof of reliability, unless these guys come back after 100k miles and still run as hard on the same tune, you can claim reliability. But when you get premature clutch wear if its DCT, premature powertrain components wear and failure, and issues inside the block, maybe you get 10k miles before weird noises on cold start or maybe as extreme as rods bending one random day, or maybe it'll run hard for 100k+ miles. These engines are not that overbuild, in fact unless its fully forged components you can't claim they're overbuild, very very few are. they have a good OVERHEAD from the factory to run a good amount of miles, lets say 100K+ before something naturally starts failing, like turbos. Tuning for more power, means hotter temps, hotter temps means more wear and stress on components, its physics.

Second race it was the other way around, the Supra started creeping up on him and probably would have won but the Audi let off. Either way they are super close.

Besides, the M2 had an N55 and it’s a real M car. The X7 M60i has the S68 and it’s not a real M car, but has a real M engine. Regardless of all that, once you start modifying the motor and have a different turbo, it doesn’t even matter whether it’s an M car or not.

I'm just hoping to just crack into the 7s in my MK7 GTI this fall, it's very close (while maintaining full weight, stock wheels, exhaust, intake and suspension...full sleeper mode). it's still the stock engine.. probably a tte700, or a tt777 at most (an certainly not recommended). a full frame turbo (or hybrid with built engine) rs3 would def beat that supra all day.

Hey Chris thanks for the comment. I have other platforms lined up. Just recently my friend with the Supra just got his car back and its running strong, so we decided to get him several races lined up. I have 1 more with him to share and a just a few with White M4 ( he hasn't gotten any runs in a while) As for other platforms, I got your fix coming lol. A lot of the other cars that I want to bring on or back to the channel need a little more time lol. Various reasons... car in shop, vacation, waiting on a couple things, etc... but I got some good old American powered cars coming on here soon and some Porsche and AMGs. Im looking forward to sharing those cars when it happens. Just know I'm on top of it and I listen! Thanks for watching 😇

I am suprised the Supra didn't pull on the Audi if it is lighter and has more power. I know both cars have not been dynoed, and so they are only estimating the power figures, but I think the Audi has more power than we are led to believe.

maybe, but if it truly is stock engine still, it def isn't more than around 630whp.. and torque under 570 wheel for sure. Also possible is the supra doesn't make as much as they think, or the power band and gearing in the audi is simply better

@@christopherveilleux3760 I agree that the Supra might not be making the power claimed. The Audi is supposed to be making mid (650) to upper 680+whp and not 630. The Audi driver didn't want to disclose his turbo, so I am more inclined to believe they are making closer to 700whp and the Supra is not. HP to weight is a real advantage especially when you are talking about two cars with excellent transmission and powerbands, so the advantage was supposed to be for the Supra. Edit: regardless it was a close and exciting race. The Supra won the first race and the Audi won the second race to 140mph.

He's a 5 second car in better temps and and no passenger. If I had to guess he's probably a mid 5 second car. That rs3 he raced can also touch 5s so there many variables
