2018 Blue Bird All American T3RE (506-0089)

Here is one of the new 2018 Blue Bird All American buses the State of South Carolina purchased. The Richland School District One fleet number is 309, which replaced a 1995 Thomas ER which also replaced a 1992 Ward school bus several years ago.
(5-3-2022) Richland One bus 309 is now a 2022 Thomas C2 Propane bus.

It’s a Cummins B6.7, the D3 your used to likely has the ISC but they discontinued it so none of the new T3 buses will have one. If they have the upgraded engine then it’d be the ISL but it’s very deep sounding

Actually it’s the other way around. The T3 series was derived from the D3 series with some modifications.

Boy these blue birds are made to last. People here in the states complain too much. They are widely used in Honduras and still running. Nothing like that. The Government in Nicaragua just bought 600 Russian buses and having problems with people destroying them. The birds are built to resist bad people. hahahahahaha.

My district only has 2009 C2s, and 2017-present C2s. We have 3 2018 T3REs, but they break down so much that they sit alot.

The strobe light on them is white. I had a different camera back then, so maybe I have some special effect that made the light look yellow.
