Wow that voice !!! And passion ... it’s a poetry ...... one of the best videos one question i dunno if any can an answer , I just traded my 2016 535 to 2019 540 ... both where M sport package.. I had a lot more road feel in my 535 than my 540 ,, which miss ,, my old 535 I could really feel the road , but the new one ,, power and handling is better , but it’s just more smooth ,, can’t feel the road much ... is that only me or there are others who feel the same

The new 5 series offers you adaptive dampers that really makes the really smooth so that may be a big part of it. Sorry for the late reply Dany .

Thanks for this informative video. I bought a 2017 540i M (high mileage -70K, exceptional 36mo vehicle protection plan) a couple weeks ago and enjoying it so far. My go to for luxury car for years has been the Infiniti M series (‘03 M45, ‘06 M35 & ‘11 M37). This is my first BMW and I was terribly concerned about reliability and the horror stories I’ve heard over the years, but I take care of my cars, so I don’t think this experience will be much different. Any tips you can share would be great. Thanks again.

This is a great car and it will tell you when it needs anything. That engine has been around for a while and has been constantly upgraded to get better n better. There isn't any known issues that I can tell you of. Drive and enjoy the car G Chesterfield. Congrats 👏 👏 👏

@@r.f464 it’s holding up pretty well now… did run into a few issues… parking sensor failed causing the entire parking assistant to malfunction and the steering column got stuck in the up position and wouldn’t come down. Had both issues repaired warranty. Warranty has paid for itself. Only other issue I’m having is that seatbelt chimes for the passenger seat as if someone is in it and it’s completely empty. Have to tap the sit to make it go off. Warranty would not cover it…. And for the amount the stealership quoted, I’ll continue to tap.

These videos are very informative. I'm thinking about getting a 540 and this helped with my decision alot. I like how he engages with the viewers. To my understanding the active high beam technology was not legalized in the United States for the 2018 model year so unfortunately while the vehicle is capable of adjusting the high beam around a car, it is not enabled.

I am glad I have discovered this channel and I am a huge BMW ehtusiast of course!! I like all of your video's especially the BMW since that's what I own which is a 2006 E90 330I 6 speed manual I love it its my daily driver very good car so far the non turbo version naturally aspirated. I have owned 5 BMW'S total in my life 84 318I, e30, 85 318I (currently own), 89 e32 735I (one of BMW best engines ever built) 97 e38 740il, e30 325ic convertible 1990. It's a great car and coming from an E39 to this you'll only miss 1 thing and that's the fuel consumption . This car is way better on gas and the torque is more than your 282 LbS also. @@letsrollout7307Hi there again Well:- 1/ That when removing one's foot quickly from the accelerator (gas) pedal, the electronics are then expecting and preparing for the brakes to be applied (forcefully) and therefore moving the blocks (pads) nearer to the disks (rotators ?). 2/ That during rainfall the brake-block/disk distance is also reduced (maybe even the brakes applied a tiny bit ??), to keep the disks dry for an instant reaction should the brakes be applied. @@letsrollout7307 Unhappily not my friend; although with a rather large no. of, for me more or less obligatory (driving quality changing) options, I'd really love one. I'm pensioned myself and I have a very low income, so unless I'd be prepared to be irresponsible, I'll likely never have one. My present car is a Subaru Impreza GT Turbo AWD, which I bought new over 20 years ago and which has served me incredibly well (absolutely ZERO maintenance costs, except for the obligatory changing of the timing belt at 10 years old, until just a few months ago when my son and I renewed the front brakes here at home, although it was only one side which the yearly government technical check said needed doing.

the BMW 640i uses the N55 Engine. While the G30 5 Series uses the newer B58 Engine. the N55 is the predecessor of the B58. Both beautiful engines, but the B58 since its built on a known platform has more reliability.

The engine in the current BMW 640 i GT petrol x-drive is the B58 (Not the N55) . I actually own one and it is stated on the BMW sales order. I believe your comments refer to the old 640i which was discontinued 4 years ago!)

This will highlight any issues u may face and down the road and point out any problems it has now. This way u can buy with ease or walk away from a potential problem car . I’ve always been a Toyota or Acura person and have been pretty pleased. I’ve also heard the horror stories about the maintenance costs on BMW, Mercedes, Porsche,…etc I currently drive a 2019 Acura MDX Aspect. It’s an awesome car, but I’m looking for that inexpensive wow factor. It’s not really a luxury car and not really a sports car. Right now I’m intrigued by the BMW 540i M sport. I’ve been doing some research and haven’t quite made up my mind. I like so many cars but with depreciation it’s always hard to get the most for your money! I’ll keep looking and great video!

My question to you is have you driven the 540xi yet?? . Until you get the feel from your pants you'll never know. Just drive one and if needed , scratch it off your list .

Good job on the stuff under the hood. Onto our 3rd 5 Series - 2008 535 Wagon, 2015 535x and now 2019 540 - love the 5, though the interior quality seems cheaper over time, probably to reduce weight. The drive also seems softer, and not as hard as our original wagon. Can you do a video on the assisted driving technology - pros/cons?

Just purchase previous leased vehicle from a local BMW dealership... It’s 2017 BMW 5 series 540i with only 20400 miles total purchase price includes everything plus extra 4 year WARRNITY (after the manufacturer warranty runs out in two years) to boot was only $28950 ! I feel that this was the best deal that I have ever gotten on a new or lease vehicle. I have own a older 1975 BMW 325 or 328 back in the mid 80’s Germany 🇩🇪 that was so long ago. The Technology that in these cars today is unbelievable. I am overwhelmed with so much, that I don’t even know if I can remember everything this car can or will do for me. I appreciate your insight on this fine vehicle. I’m having issue with ambient light right now. - Okay underneath the little computer screen it looks very dark to the left. Looking at the middle it’s bright solid color like orange illuminated but as you go towards the passenger side of the dash it’s dark again and I know this is not right. It was working before I left at this car wash and had it detailed to the max. I am not sure what they did to the inside of the interior but that ambient light was working towards passenger-dash Small Section is not lighted anymore. Can it be maybe a fuse?

How long has it been since this detailing was done G-Man???. If it's recent then my guess would be moisture from the cleaning. Is it cold where you are???. Give it some time and heat to vaporize any condensation. Hope this helps .

@@letsrollout7307 - Hi again, it was taken care of because I realized after finding a option on the i Drive system that you can darken ambient light inside, while driving. It seem that a car wash employee touch the option buttons by mistake and change the leds accidentally. All I had to do was change it back *BINGO* the LEDs came to life ! Nothing was wrong ! Save me a trip to the dealership and perhaps some cash too. Thanks !

Love my 2017 540i xDrive with M package. Try out launch mode from a dead stop which spools up the turbo prior to launch. Also take note the heads up display will be very hard to view with polarized sunglasses.

Im looking for a 4 door B58 engine bmw, not sure which model but im leaning towards the 440i Grand Coupe (2016 or when ever the LCI happened) not sure what the best bang for my buck would be as far as M sports package and Premium sound package goes.. but whichever BMW that offers the most technology (Digital Dash, Bigger screen, iDrive7,Best possible speakers etc) is what I would probaly go with

The 2017 550i is a 4 second 0 to 60 monster. Its depreciates faster than the straight six. You'll love the drive. What car do u drive now Yomka ??

The straight 6 from BMW's has been one of it best. What you will have is ignition coil replacement but that will be normal wear and tear .

@@letsrollout7307 i testdrove 530i and it was quite good. I think i will test drive the one in video. It seems to have more power. I am not too big on power as i don't intend to use it as race car but i do want better handling and i found bmw to be a good handling car.

@@arkot5458 you're right they do handle well. BMW has gone more towards the softer side though. They don't have that sharpness like before.
