Wow, such an informative video. I’ve done brakes on old cars but was unsure about what details I needed for newer cars. Thanks for letting me know about the wear indicator, disabling the parking brake and also including the torque specs was nice as well. I’m looking forward to more 2018 x3 videos

Same ! I have experience on Ford, Chevy and my Wife Toyota 2013 Highlander. Have never worked on newer cars cause sensors kinda frightened me ! .... but this video broke it down pretty easy! ... Dealer is charging me over 2k for all 4 rotors and break pads !! And there is just no way !!

Great video and thanks for the laugh when you dropped the cap. I have a 2021 X3 and the dealer tried to tell me I needed to change my brakes and rotors yet no brake light on dash. I will check it but doubt it truly needs replacing.

Thanks for the vid!! One question amd a comment. What length extension are you using on the impact wrench? And the comment is I've generally heard that 2mm is the lowest one should go on brake pads i think because of some thermal argument. An other reason is for there to be some margin of safety if one is not on top of this issue.

Thank you for the great video, I have 2 Q, what kind of app you are using? for F25 do you know where is the rear center jacking point? I can't find anywhere, people are saying do NOT jack it thru the rear axle.

Yes. You need a scan tool to put into maintenance mode. Or remove electric motor and back off

Why do I keep buying BMWs? What the hell is wrong with their braking systems? I am not doing high-speed braking but I now get the vibration in my front rotors after 40,000 miles why can I own a Chevy suburban for 6 years/92k miles and still be on the original brakes that still feel perfect?
