This not how you do it. Even the owners manual says this is not the way. The engine has to be off, and the ignition in service mode (parking brake on, press start for more than 5 seconds without your foot on the brake. Ignition light will be orange). Scroll to TPMS screen, then press and hold select until the horn beeps. Now you do the procedure. The module will not pick up the awakened sensors if the engine is running.

Just watched bits of several other videos where ppl said Camaro gen 6 must be running. You were right!!! as I just walked out and linked my all season wheel brand new TPMSs without starting car. Having to find facts in the comments, not the videos again.

I work at a tire shop and I do it the same way the guy in the video does. Never had an issue.
