Still i think Jenya is a true fighter and a champion. This is her first event after the injury and she skated her seasons best. it means that she will improve. Her program is more touching, i love the music in the middle and in the end. She will go to Olympics with no pressure. All she has to do its to keep working and dont give up. There were times when champions like Yuna and Mao were losing and then winning again each other.

I am impressed how well Evgenia performed coming back from injury under such pressure. She has nerves of steel, and one cool head on her shoulders. If Evgenia and Alina perform the way they did here, I cannot see anyone else upstaging them in PyeongChang. These two ladies will be fighting for gold at the Olympics.

Sara H Evgenia isn’t going because she can’t represent Russia

Aishi Ayano she actually is!! If you check the news and the press conference, she’s been named for the Olympic team along with Alina and Maria

ballpointpen 9000, I am glad to hear Evgenia will be competing at the Olympics. Four years is a long time to wait, and who knows if Evgenia will still be considered the top contender in four year's time.

Sara H I agree! I’m very excited to see her compete. I’m also interested to see how her programs look.... I’m sure she’ll change the layout to increase the tech score or something in order to beat Alina (one of the reporters said at the press conference that she wouldn’t be content with silver, and I agree)

This performance after her being injured spoke volumes about this young woman’s character

From this competition, it was clear who will win at the Olympic. In the Western media, there was no doubt. Not sure why in Russia everyone was so surprised to see the results. Also, even in the year before, at the RusChamp I recall comments that Alina will win everything in her first senior year - and that's exactly what happened.

under some videos ppl writing that russian paid medals, everything already desided... that points of eugenia given her too high which she doesnt deserve. unbelieveble. so great to read nice, kind messages, when ppl can share success and be happy. i m happy for Eugenia. hope this silver medal awake in her big forces for a gold olympic medal!!!

Shima Risu you clearly haven’t been watching figure skating or do know much about the sport. People are only hating because she does stuff wrong most of the time and gets no points taken off. Look up a youtuber known as koola king she shows everything doesn’t matter who the skater is and that’s why people don’t like her
Her two triple toe jumps are awfully pre rotated... GOE is ridiculous for cheated jumps

Yes he is.

yeah wow, not happy with him. Didn’t really appreciate his commentary on any of the skaters, but especially Evegenia. It’s interesting how they all were singing her praises only a few short months ago, but now that she’s come back from injury she’s apparently old news?

I don't think he was wrong to call out her technical flaws

ballpointpen 9000 he was being a little rude but injured or not someone was better than her.
