I recently had my phasers done. I watch your videos I’m the kind of guy who admires your integrity as a person and mechanic. I always wonder when my vehicle is being worked on wether a guy similar to yourself would be working on my stuff. That feeling I always have was the job done correctly is always looming in the back of my brain.

@@MyFriendPeter-d4k thinking up to 07 or 10. are still pretty reliable. after that? well, not so much. ford, gm, whatever. they're all just tech nightmares anymore. i got my 01 5 years ago. and know 100% the engine and trans is still factory. before that? my 88 gmc pickup drove just over 30 years, minor stuff in repairs. but dependable as all get out, which is still on the road today btw. i still see it driving around town still. i really worked the hell out of that one. i was a carpenter, remodeling contractor. so yeah, i worked my shit hard. well, semi retired now, and make jewelry boxes and stuff nowadays, out of logs, so my 'new?' 01' still gets a healthy workout. this new stuff? just doesn't last. sure there's some with the mileage, but that can't last the test of time. hoses, breaks, sensors, computers et al:, it's gov. demands on mileage, and what not that happened to dependability.

Have a question about the Phaser job...Had it performed at dealer on my 2018 f150, about two weeks later suddenly the AC starts blowng hot, next morning works fine, and the two days at the dealer "couldn't reproduce Issue" or something to that wording on the work order. Pick it up and the ac is working, later that day, blowing hot air again, and has for 1 day, hopefully it will still be that way so I can bring to the dealer as it's occurring. My question... is the AC refrigerant drained during the full Cam Phaser job , is it highly possible the issue is related? Sounds to me on startup remotely I hear the compressor start then shut off. I'm having a hard time believing this issue isn't related to the dismantle of the front of the engine....any advice on what I can urge to be checked?

How on earth can a known failure point across the board on these 3.5l engines have an expiration date just because it doesn't fail within their timelines. There was an article in this weekend's Wall Street Journal talking about the poor quality of Ford products it is now come to the attention of Jim Farley CEO that something needs to be done because they're bleeding big money in the shop repairing vehicles that are not old. They should talk to the text and have the engineers come out and look at what their engineering because they're not getting the job done. It has nothing to do with the assembly process and everything to do with the dumb ideas that the engineers have used for a long time now.
