2018 ford explorer alternator replacement

Step 1 remove batter terminal Step 2 remove radiator fan Step 3 use an extension to pull belt off Step 4 remove bolts & replace old with new alternator

I’m currently replacing my 2017 Ford Explorer water pump at 168k miles, yup pure hell but it’s a learning experience in its design. Why the hell it was designed this way we’ll never know. With that given I have access to the alternator I’m just going to replace it seeing it’s never been done before. Ohh yeah the water pump service was going to be $2000. Screw that. Word to the wise DONT BUY A FORD unless you can AFFORD the cost of service maintenance 😂😂😂

Just had my 2017 Explorer alternator replaced at the dealer $1700!
