I will never understand why people take time to be so nasty online. My 2017 had the gasket repaired by the dealer before i picked it up. It is truly a blast to drive. Yes, its not as powerful as many other cars. Then again, those cars are often more expensive or handle worse than the RS. At the end of the day, get whatever you like and stop being so childish; negating another car doesn’t make your car any better. For me, all the complaints of stiff suspension, tight turning radius, noise , etc are why i got the car; it feels analog and is always eager to be bonkers.

Limited edition RS comes with the fixed/upgraded head gasket/ engine so it is not affected by the previous issues.

I have a 2018 limited edition it’s an awesome car. I also have a 6 litre ss and the focus is a lot more fun and faster up to 100. As for being uncomfortable I think it’s fine I have done a few trips over 400ks and never found it to be uncomfortable.

I bought an ST to save money & that was a bad idea. The front-wheel drive sucks & it's a handful under acceleration on turns. My next ride will be the final edition '18 LE RS. I'm open to red or blue, as long as the mileage is low & it hasn't been abused.

Hi Walkman, Suggest a quick conversation with your preferred Ford dealer. You never know what might be possible in terms of swapping those pieces from a non-LE RS, or folding the required painting work into the sale. Cheers, JC

Accelerator pedal needs to be higher for heel and toe. The steering column cover could be smaller too. Still sitting a touch too high. Only 3 negatives from me.

Forget that. Why reward a company that has two years worth of vehicles on the road with a poorly engineered engine block and head? And the fix could keep your vehicle off the road for weeks on end.

ok point taken it would be a pain in the ass IF it happened but im sure they would have to provide replacement car free of charge, its also has a 7 year engine warranty..the chances of it happening in new models must surely be very slim?

hahah no they didnt i work for a ford deler and it is not fixed , the motor base (block) is a open flow with no support so the cylinders are almost free from the block so they tend to move and wear the head gasket fast or crack the block

Did Ford fix the flex in the head and high wear in the head gasket?

YasumotoUS they did. First production line incorrectly used the Mustangs head gasket on assembly. Ford did a tsb fixing this and replacing engines if damage was done.

@ around $60K for one, that brings it right in the V8 Mustang territory. While the RS will undoubtedly run rings over the Mustang on a track, the Mustang has more street creed and charisma, plus the history.

Hi LBM, This car pics up Michelin Pilot Sport Cup2 rubber (over standard Pilot Super Sports), the Quaife LSD, forged alloy rims, the 'prestige' Nitrous Blue paint, and blue leather trim on the seats. AEB is also now standard. JC
