I hope Ford fixed the head gasket and deck warping of the block at around 20k miles that have been causing issues. I know two separate people who needed an entire long block installed fresh from Ford due to hydro lock😕

Ford says it was an issue with the initial issue RS engines, they say the 2nd and 3rd bath of production ones are not affected and neither have any 2nd and 3rd batch production ones from Colonge reported any issues so far

They were fitted with the wrong head gasket at the factory when built. That’s why they were failing.

I have one of these and it’s not nearly as harsh as what I’ve heard online.. I actually enjoy the ride a lot. Track mode you can feel everything but what do you expect it’s a track car

Not even track day cars like Miata Cup car are as harsh as the Focus RS, to be frank Ford has made a mess out of the new RS, I drive a Fiesta ST and its really stiff but Focus RS normal mode is as stiff as ma ST which is very bad to begin with, then comes sport and track which are too over damped The biggest issue with Focus RS is that despite all this stiffness it still has body roll and the car is heavy , weighs nearly 1575 kg , I mean thats too much for a car with such a short wheel base, The RS needs to seriously shed weight, at least 100 kgs to be a proper RS car, as of now its a disaster
