I got the same bike except 114. went with vance and hines. I just love the bike. I would not change anything except what I did. oh I did add a sissy bar for the wife. it is night and day with old heritage. you can keep them - no comparison over the new. Harley did a terrific design on this one.

I have that same bike and color scheme but with the 114. I've heard really good things with the Harley Hammock. Plus you can get a driver backrest for it. I love the bike so far. Just got it a few months ago.

The older Heritage, I have a 2016, and I just love the way it looks, and I like the older saddle bags. I can fit more in them. Trying real hard to like the newer ones. Been thinking of upgrading.. me personally, love the chrome :)

I put some Vance & Hines Eliminator 300 on my 2018 heritage 114 and it sounds awesome I would not put anything else I heard all kinds of mufflers and Vance & Hines sounded the best to me

Love the Heritage. Looks and sounds good. Wouldn't worry about a few marks, thats normal wear and tear. Wont stay showroom if you're having fun using it.

Those new slip ons sound really good! The cars around you will know without a doubt that you're amongst them, and really, that's the whole point. Some of these half asleep drivers need to be aware of a bike so they can be a little more careful about giving you the space you need to drive it. Nice color too, by the way. I hope you have many miles of pleasureable riding ahead of you on this fine Bike!

Were the exhaust shields a direct replacement for the stockers? I'd like to replace my chrome ones without necessarily changing out the exhausts. Any help?

Mean City Cycles can customize your seat. It will still look stock but be way more comfortable

You may find that backrest to be more useful than a touring pack. For me I use a strap over touring bag. I have the pack as well but seldom use it. Nice looking bike. I have the Twisted Cherry 114.

Bob, if you put any tools in that front bag, you hit s pothole and you will get s big dent on that front fender. A riding friend of mine found out the hard way. Not enough room for your complete front suspension compliance.

I owned a 2013 Heritage. The tank was also 5 gallons, and compared to the new ones they rode and took corners poorly. The new ones are so much better, but they definitely are not full tourers.

I bought the hammock seat and the little lady can still only handle about an hour and a half, im considering the mustang but im hesitant about spending the money and having the same results as the hammock.

I have owned both, i dont really see a difference for passenger. I wouldnt spend the money if you already own the hammock. tell your passenger to toughen up :)

lol i dont disagree but the heritage is a bit tougher for passengers vs the road king. Its a give and take. you may want to look at a corbin seat.

how is the ride long distance 2 up? i am trying to decide if i want the 114 or 107, i rode a deluxe and it felt really snappy with the 107. the 114 felt more laid back but powerful.

Had the same issue with the passenger seat. The wife was constantly being pushed forward every time we went over a bump. Went to a Mustang seat and problem solved. Food for thought.

I have one of these. A few complaints I have: the panniers are such a stupid design with that bracket right in the middle. I have a buzzing from the fuel cap. This is standard; when I complained my dealer said there was no point putting a new one on as it would also rattle. Their suggestion was to buy a different cap from their catalogue. £89 for a pair.

I had the same buzzing from the fuel cap. Took it to the dealer and had them replace it. Its covered under the warranty. new one isn't buzzing.........yet.

I agree with you about the ever more powerful engines. I have the 114 M8, but to tell the truth, my old 96 twin cam was all the power I needed. I also find the new Heritage frame gives so much more balance and maneuverability than the old Heritage. Much easier to ride if you are not so tall. Just want to warn you and others, In the last month I have seen severely dented tops of the full front Harley fender because of what happens when you hit a massive pot hole with the front bag having something in it. It can make a grown man cry.

I got this bike and really like it. The only thing i don't like is that the rivets (if that is what they are) that hold the trim on the rear fender break off! I think Harley could have done better for the price of this bike. Guess i have to go back to the dealer again! Anyone else have this issue? Overall it is great and rides much better than my Breakout did 😆

How much do you hate that 3.5 gallon gas tank. A real pet peeve of mine on the 114. I did have tab slip ons with zombie baffles added (holy crap - loud in a good way). Also no tuner? I installed a V&H and run “twin slash 3” with competition baffles, recommended by V&H. Prob made gas mileage worse - but that engine and pipes begs to be blipped often. Also have 2500 miles

My 2010 Heritage is the best looking Heritage every made. I also had a 1994 that I wish I had back. My 2010 had American Custom Slip-ons and you can't beat the sound. To each his own, but the new Heritage looks like shit
