No this is not clickbait.. This is probably by far the most realistic 'archinterior' scene I have ever played! Divided into 5 scenes, you can try this demo out for yourself in the link below: My PC specs: i7 4790k 12GB RAM GTX 1080 Download Demo: evermotion.org/shop/show_product/archinteriors-for-ue-vol-4/14406 My Flickr: www.flickr.com/photos/152767529@N08/albums

My specs is: i7 6700k 16gb ram 1080 ti There are 5 demo scenes. I only downloaded the first scene. The demo only has two options in the option menu and that is the resolution scale and show fps. You can choose 50% 100% 200% or 400%. My pc runs the demo in 1440p at 250+ fps at 100%, 60+ fps at 200% and about 20-35 fps at 400%.

My specs is: i7-8700K 32GB 3200mhz ram and Asus Strix 1080 ti @ 1440p 165hz, and get somewhat the same results, i only get 170+ fps on 100% render, 90+ fps on 200% and 20-40 fps on 400%.

This looks good. Evermotion have been known to create highly realistic 3D scenes for many years in the Architectural visualization community. They began by making 3d scenes for use with Autodesk 3dsmax and the Vray render engine. These sold so well for the company they started creating realistic environments and interiors for other types of rendering engines. I believe this is one of the companies that created some of the Ikea renders they use in their magazines.

i am happy to see this level of realty in UE4. I JUST start learning unreal engine for interior design last month, because of you , and your amazing photo-realistic output so i need to understand the way you lighting up your scenes and the GI lighting system. is there any tutorials you did for lighting and tips. really i appreciate your help very much.

It looks really good in general. But I do notice quite a lot of rendering errors in reflective glass & mirrors. That kind of destroys the otherwise realistic look.
@jesseeastman88676 жыл бұрын
MacXpert74 I noticed that to, i don't wanna say they looked bad but compaired to how spot on most of the other stuff was gave me an uncanny valley kinda vibe.
@MacXpert746 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I'm not sure why "PredCaliber" calls this "The Most Photorealistic UE4 Demo So Far". Some of the other demo's I've looked at do not have quite as many rendering errors in it, while showing similar quality textures and lighting effects. For instance, this one, to me looks at least as good, with less problems in rendering: kzbin.info/www/bejne/omeqh5iZjbmop80 It's not that this demo is 'bad', far from it, it's really nicely done. But this demo just has a bit more reflective surfaces in it than some of the others. The flaws in rendering are therefore a bit more obvious. It seems to me that this is a area they still need some work on (the Unreal engine that is).
@PredCaliber6 жыл бұрын
MacXpert74 Thanks a lot for your constructive comment, and not flaming me to dead :) . For me to be really honest I did not notice these errors much , but I can understand if you have more experience with the engine its more noticeable. I will check out your link, Thanks!
@MacXpert746 жыл бұрын
Hi PredCaliber. I'm not really experienced in the sense of game development, only playing games :) But I do enjoy watching these tech demos like you present on your channel. The rendering issues was just something that kind of stood out for me, mostly because everything else looked really good. The link is from another of your own posts. ;)
@DigiFootageFX6 жыл бұрын
Yes, there are going to be some small compromises in order to make it real time. Evermotion is known for their extremely realistic offline NRT rendering scenes for Vray and MentalRay engines. This is impressive, but not yet on that kind of realistic level. It could get there soon though if they can figure out how to make things like reflections and refractions faster and more accurate at the same time. It's very close.

Is it using dynamic light or a static light?Any artificial lights like spot light or point lights used or only directional light? How to achieve this kind of realism what settings to use in lightmass
@metalzen34806 жыл бұрын
Looks amazing! Of course everything is static right? It is even possible to run something that looks like this when you can actually interact with objects? Couldn't help but think of how everything (well, almost everything) in Skyrim has physics and is interactable. All these interiors have a "frozen in time" feel to them, especially the candle that don't flicker.
@megajennybenny6 жыл бұрын
Candles are flickering in this video.
@metalzen34806 жыл бұрын
you're right about the candles on the tables, it's the ones on the floor in front of the bedroom doors. The candle jars, maybe it's just too subtle, but looks like they all have a steady light emmitting from them. Not sure why this stood out to me but it did.

You always gotta compromise between graphics and gameplay for processing reasons. Since this is a graphics showcase it wouldn‘t make much sense to add gameplay...

Am i the only person in the world who doesn't think UE4 graphics are good? It always seem weird to me, like something is way off, can't really put my finger on it though. To the point that it gives me a headache if i look at it too long, and so i rather play old games with simpler graphics that don't have that weird effect.

no, no no! its not hardware demanding at all! ue4 is low end friendly. its hardware demanding for the devs like me to render the lighting, but when the lighting is rendered and if its a .exe, then its like a normal ''game'' to run
@collateral79256 жыл бұрын
So the lightning isn't real time in this scene?
@samkip2086 жыл бұрын
no and yes. i try to explain. the light is realtime BUT the lighting isnt that heavy. because the lighting is verry verry small cpu work almost nothing. the gpu is for the materials, but because its almost a picture. the gpu has a less hard time. long story short. 80% is already done for your pc by the devs. do you know when it starts asks performance? when you have physics actors and particle systems
@Kie-70776 жыл бұрын
Too much 'perfection' too many perfectly straight edges, not an errant mark any where, the big wooden table has sharp corners. This stuff would look far more real if they could learn how to rough everything up a bit. I did a bit of painting and decorating and labouring and I know that most houses are a bit wonky and most paint lines are hit'n'miss.
