To align a vertex with another one that differs in location across all three dimensions, select the 'Snap 3' option. Ensure all three dimensions on the move tool are highlighted in yellow by hovering over the first vertex before clicking. Hope that helps.

Hi. I have a problem. when turn on snaps toggle and hold shift it still draws a diagonal line instead of an straight. Can u help me?
@HMSTUDIO20205 ай бұрын
The issue might be because of the view you're working in or the snap settings. Here are a couple of things to try: Make sure you're in an orthographic view like Front, Top, or Left. In those views, your lines should stay straight because you’re only working on two axes (like X and Y). Check your snap settings-if Snap 3 (3D snap) is on, it might be snapping to points with different heights along the Z-axis, which can make your lines go diagonal. Try turning off Snap 3 or just stick to a flat plane.

@@grdtllc50923ds max is harder to learn for those archviz artist who also know SketchUp. Maybe because of UI. Using move, rotate and scale tool to objects and drag and slide does not give precisions and measurement which can be done on SketchUp easily.
