The engine is the Thunderstroke 111 which is 111 cubic inches of displacement equaling 1811cc. It is a torque power-plant stock and only awakens with stage 1. Add a fuel tuner and you’re more boss than Harley counterpart. This bike is a joy to ride, and constantly turning heads. Harley stepped up their game in 2014 when this model Indian lineup cane out. While this newly designed engine is holding to its hype, Harley’s Milwaukee 8 107 is riddled with problems. The Thunderstroke 111 is a direct competitor to Harley’s 110 cvo or vice versa!

Hey Busa... Surprised you didn't like the Chief Vintage. Although the Springfield may look similar, perhaps the ride might be a bit different. If you get the chance, just for the experience, try it out. Mine doesn't seem to ride like you described the Vintage. Perhaps mine, a 2016, is different in some ways. Not trying to bash you bro, but half the time you didn’t know what gear you were in, to experience any vtwin you need to open up the throttle and shift at 3000 rpm to higher gear 2nd/3rd and upper gears even higher. I agree on the ‘clacking’ of the engine at 2300-2700 rpm. Many indiand dealers deny it exists, actually not all those engines have it, bit enough do. Some say the cause is the cam. Bit i recently found out through tuning that it is a front cylinder ignition timing issue at a certain load. Using tuning software i was able to see where adjustments in the timing could be modified. Simple as that. Again, not all the engines have that clacking, I attribute that to perhaps a certain batch of ecu’s.....
