Thanks for the shout out! I’ve had a Legmaker Intake on for a few months now. It’s way more pleasing to the ear. I think the factory exhaust is perfect, quiet down low, like an angry Wookie up top; I’m not touching it. SRT brakes are red, only Trackhawks get the yellow, and the callipers and discs are bigger. I usually leave the transmission in automatic. Like you said, it’s great on it’s own. I turned the shift lights back on and set them points like Yuri did, which did make the paddles a viable option. Great review, as an owner, I’d say it’s fair and balanced.

@@convex7456 Most likely not. Dealers are usually pretty relaxed about mods and use common sense. If by chance your dealer is a mod nazisl you could swap the stock air box back in, intakes take like 5 minutes to install. I used to work at a toyota dealer and I have asked a bunch of other dealerships. Most say as long as its bolt ons your good and upgrading suspension won't affect your engines warranty.

I can confirm that. I work a Mazda dealership and we work on modified cars all the time! We just charge 10 dollars more on our diagnostic fee compared to non modified cars. We've never had a problem with warranty!!!

There is actually a federal law that prohibits dealers from trying to void warranties for having aftermarket accessories. Unless they can prove that the add on caused a specific problem to damage the vehicle, they have no leg to stand on.

This is absolutely the coolest SUV ever made! And i love the gearbox, it is quite smoth when you drive relaxed and if you go full throttle it changes gears so fast. Best mix i‘ve ever driven.

The Jeep Trackhawk is great but I could not justify the extra 40,000$ for the engine (6.2L supercharged vs 6.4L not supercharged) and a few cosmetic difference , so I went for the Jeep SRT. I just love it. Lost 232hp but gained 40,000$ ;)

I prefer the Trackhawk over the RR SVR ironically because its probably more reliable. FCA rarely wins any reliability contests but this one it has a chance. This despite the fact that the RR is better off-road and has that air suspension. I was never a fan of the RR body style. The Grand Cherokee is getting old but still looks better IMO.

From owning Chrysler products, you have to hit the shift 500 rpm earlier than you think you should. The lag from the paddles is insane, but “shifting early” actually shifts right where you would want. I hope that makes sense.

Did you see hooks on the back of the front seats? The grocery hooks aren’t just in the way back, and the hooks on the back of the seats are further from the bottom meaning you can hook a taller bag and keep it upright.

If you're in the market for a Super UTE here's what you'll learn: The gauges definitely lag and the half needle doesn't help. The SVR does handle just a tad better, the merc's and porsches and bmw rivals handle MUCH better. The Jeep feels floaty and you also can't lower the seat enough, you feel like you're sitting on it instead of in it. The import competitors smoke it around the track while getting around 13mpg instead of 6. The paddles are puny. If you live in the city you'll pick something else, but if you live in a place with a bunch of hillbillies the Jeep is king and less likely to be keyed or spit on. The launch button is very convenient...for kid at the valet. If you're a leasing, the others might actually be cheaper on the month because they have a much higher residual. The SVR is the best comparison because the superchargers are so much more fun around town than the turbo Germans. If you're a Jeep guy, get the SRT and save $40k, if you're a German fan, get the non SVR RRS, it has the same supercharged 5.0 as the SVR.

Yeah, straight pipes should really do that, since FCA offers the full Super-SUV spectrum: -The GC Trackhawk, a brutish V8 straight line speed monster on one side. -The Stelvio QV, a nimble athlete (in SUV terms) with a "small" Ferrari engine on the other side. -And the the upcoming Levante GTS with a Ferrari V8 right in the middle (more power than the Stelvio, better handling than the GC.) That range should cater to most performance obsessed customers looking for an overpowered SUV.
