Sport and Sport S models come with halogen lamps with no added option for the LED which forces me to look at a Rubicon. Base price for JL Rubicon looks like $36,400 before options and JLU Rubicon $40,200 before options. I got this from jlwranglerforums. I think this prices a lot of former and future Wrangler owners out of the market. Perhaps it may be worth a wait to the 2019 model year if I'm going to pay that much.

Dirt Diver The point is, for that kind of money it should come with it. Only a financial idiot would pay $40000 for a vehicle and then spend hundreds, most likely thousands, in aftermarket “upgrades “.

Jeep looks nice but i was hoping for the 3.0 Diesel on the 2door, looks like its only coming out in the 4door in 2019, so guess i'm not buying another jeep

Shit i cant wait till about 10-15 years from now when i buy one of these bad boys for 2k off some side of the road stealership with 200k miles!! Haha. Ps honestly though off-road anything + integrated electronics = total failure at 2 am on Friday night at the local mud hole, and a repair bill you can't afford!!!! On that note we likely wont even see these on the road after 10 years!

Pam Candas The current generation has never been interesting to me but this one looks fantastic. Considering trading in my beloved LJ for one. The easy to drop windshield, the full coverage roll cage, there's lots to like.

Looks good to me, too. I'd wait till this time next year when the discounting and zero interest loans/leases tend to kick in and make it possible to own without losing a lot on depreciated resale value. A plug-in means free parking new my office and commute lane access -- these are key decisions for our next car. We already have an EV and those two advantages are impossible to give up -- saves money and hours per week. A turbo four pot screamer is okay off road (light) and could be awesome with an electric motor to fill in the low end torque and smooth out the throttle response.
