Paul Mulryne England went on a 22? game unbeaten run, although they never played the all blacks, many romanticized the thought that they were the best. They bullied the 6 nations and Australia during that stretch, it’s not a stretch of the imagination to believe that many thought they were best/2nd best team in the world at the time.

Gary O'Driscoll go back and watch many of those 22 games. Apart from a brief purple patch (the Aussie tour period) they were very lucky to win a lot of those games. Even EJ said that. They were a good team, but the 2015 weaknesses were still there, but luck was papering over the cracks. It’s a shame we didn’t play the ABs in that period as it would have given SOME England fans a reality check.
