For some of us getting our priorities figured out makes the choice very easy. If you prefer quality and reliability above all else, and if you drive in the real world, in traffic and obey the speed laws, it’s an easy choice. However, if you fantasize about, being a racing car driver, then don’t buy the LC 500. It was never intended to be a race car or even a sports car. Toyota wanted to build the best possible car that they could with expense as the last priority. As you learn about some of these other cars and make frequent trips to the dealership, U2 will understand. The six years I’ve had my LC has been nothing but pure joy, it’s by far the best card I’ve ever owned.

It’s the only Grand Tourer I’d put my money on. Nothing sounds more painful than keeping an Aston Martin on the road.

I own one and it is so reliable and comfortable!

The steering is much better in an LC with the performance pack. The variable ratio sport rack and pinion and rear wheel steering helps the cars steering feel much more confident. The texture of the road doesn’t come through as much as my ISF but I still prefer the way the LC feels in the corner overall.

I agree. I have a '21 with the performance package (dynamic handling) and I could see the difference of mine vs the one in this video just by the steering wheel angles. This one looked just plain awkward instead of the smoothness I would experience doing those same type of turns in my lc.

@@ericdavis2312 right??? Watching him use the steering wheel was so weird 😂 I totally noticed it too!

Your comments about the steering is exactly how I feel about the S2000. I’ve been a long-time owner with an AP1 and AP2 separated by 10-years in between ownerships. Its dead steering is the Achilles heel, and just absolutely ruins it for me as an engaging sports car. I don’t own one anymore, but still admire them when I see them.

Hmm, I have an AP2 and I’d say the feedback from the EPS is way better than other racks I’ve tried. What are you comparing it to? I drove the LC and that rack is numb for sure but that’s because it’s a GT

I just picked up one of these with the performance pkg. Glad I didn't trade in my 2014 Maserati Granturismo though, as I was originally going to. Love my 'new to me' LC but my Masi GT is still my fav to drive. This interior is heaven though.

@@jubbalandcars You may do, but Aston sell it as a Sports car (well the UK Aston Martin company does). DB9/11 are the GT ones. I agree for sure that the Vantage has the sharper steering over the LC :)

Depends. On the used market the LC definitely wins. Just get a decent warranty through Lexus for 3-4k

The steering and suspension are improved in latter model years. 2018 is the earliest one and generally known as the worst model year.

Nope, 2018 is just more sportier tuned. Then they realized the old man demographic likes a softer ride.

People love this car because of its exterior design first, and interior design second. That's good and all, but what about its performance per cost? Its a $110k+ vehicle. How does it perform compared to others cars, that are also very good looking? Unfortunately, the LC500 absolutely sucks in comparison. This is the age old song about Lexus/Toyota vehicles. Expensive but sucks in performance comparison...
@jubbalandcars4 ай бұрын
as you can see from the review, i appreciate the LC500 but i find it overrated, so i'm not one to defend its shortcomings. however, focusing on the performance numbers on a vehicle like this is missing the point.
@iiroyalty25194 ай бұрын
I do not understand how people still don't get that this car is not sold for performance. Go buy an m8 I'd you want pure performance, but good luck dealing with it once it hits 30k miles.
@MrZennerd3 ай бұрын
But the fastest is not always the best. And something about the "price-performance ratio", from that point of view there are many cars that are not worth their price. From that point of view, a Porsche 911 is also not worth the price because i can buy me a much faster car for less money. Lexus LC buyers don't want to drive the fastest car, but the most subliem car. Drive one of these and it will convert you, at least that's what he did to me. That's how performance numbers can be misleading.
