Even tough the infotainment in the mercedes is very god, I still think Audi's virtual cockpit is better in terms of resolution and it is way more intuictive to use. Audi MMI system is far more easy to use than mercedes system because mercedes infotainement has to many menus, but that's only my opinion. By the way great video wize keep up with the good work I love your videos!

Wize, you did an incredible job on the filming and editing and the review as a whole! You really outdid yourself, wow! As for the car, I'm a fan of the colour, and the front end looks ok, but overall, I really don't like Mercedes new design language, both interior and exterior. On the interior, I recognize that it looks really high quality, especially for the class, but I really dislike the "swoopy" curved look and the way the centre screen and instrument cluster screen come together. I guess I prefer more conservative styling like Audi, and BMW.

Nice video! I went on the .de website to option an A250 and it was like 55K euro -> 85k cad lmao I think it will be around 30k base in Canada for A250 and probably 45k after options. No one will pay more than that since it would be almost hitting CLA45/GLA45 prices.

The good: Better ride quality and comfort. No tablet stuck on the dash. More room inside and in the boot. Looks better to me. Electric seats (cough cough Audi). Touchscreen infotainment system in addition to the touchpad interface near arm rest so you have best of both. No touchscreen air con controls which is good, those buttons are way more premium than a touchscreen. LED lighting interior is great for the hatchback segment. Wireless charger (although it is 5 years after Audi had it optionally in the A3). USB C ports is good futureproofing. Big panoramic sunroof. The bad: Fake exhausts. Price is quite a bit more than its rivals (Audi A3 and BMW 1 series) in the UK. Unnecessary touch control steering wheel navigation, Audi virtual cockpit controls work perfectly with scroll wheels which are more tactile and satisfying to use, this has both which seems quite confusing since they've moved cruise control to it. Overall the steering wheel just seems weird to me. The infotainment double screen has quite big bezels even in the highest spec. Gloss black dash ie the fingerprint magnet. Touchscreen has noticeable lagg from all the videos I've seen but the reviewers call it responsive, that is not responsive in 2018, compare it to your samsung S9 plus, no reason why it can't be like that. MBUX cockpit is good but not as good as the Audi Virtual Cockpit even though they've had more time to develop it. As you say, the steering wheel blocks information of the touchscreen. On a side note, it'd be funny if Wize went through the same cycle again, changes to the new A45 AMG in 2019 then goes to the new gen Audi S3 in 2020 to go back to the new gen Audi S5 in 2021.

Very comprehensive analysis! I personally find the two mini touch pads on the steering wheel very interesting to be able to perform actions without leaving the hands from the steering wheel. Talking about screen responsiveness, I agree that they're still all far behind the smartphone ones but we're slowly getting there... Can't wait to see the new A45 and especially its price point :-)

I personally think the cockpit screen is very badly designed because it is a glossy screen and it doesn't have any kind of sun shade above it so you can see lots of reflections in it, even in the video. They should've at least use a matte screen...

Julian, agree there’s plenty of reflections in this video because he’s shining a bright torch directly at the display. In real life/ normal use there are no reflections. Hence why no reviewer or person who owns the latest A class have noticed reflections remotely being an issue.
