WOW, THAT SOUNDS GREAT! I've been SO pissed with the stock Mustang exhaust sound that Ford went with. What I'd love to see is if it's possible to do something like this with the Active Exhaust system, so you could be stealthy when you need to.

The entire exhaust system helps from the stock sound. The only thing is headers help with the additional horsepower, but sacrifices a little on the low end. But because the mustang does so well on the top end, I’m pretty sure the headers helps a lot.

This sounds good, in my opinion. Sure, it's too loud for a lot of people, but I don't daily drive my '18 so it doesn't bother me to be a little on the loud side, haha. I ordered an axle back kit a few days ago but found out it is on backorder for 4-6 weeks, so I asked them today if they could switch my order to this muffler delete axle back kit. And it's all because of this video! Beautiful car, my friend.

Like the resonator delete. Little disappointed you didn't add the following: replacement parts list; cost; additional work/cost by the crusty old repair guy; db meter reading of the before/after. Just saying that perhaps adding some of the above would be of genuine interest to your viewers. Nice work and look forward to future content on the Mustang.

If you'll look in the description of this video, he included links to the parts, which will take you to the websites that display their prices. The other stuff would be nice, but I would assume the dB of the final product is around 115 dB or so, based on some other videos I've watched. EcoBeast has a video on his channel where they tested the sound levels of his 2018 GT and a GT350.

It's really not about loudness. I know most enthusiast love to make their ears bleed but it's all about free air flow. No restrictions. This is the end result. Less restrictions equals more power. You also need to show some love to the intake as well. Max flow in and out 🤙🏾

Sound and looks are much improved. I would think a re-tune is now in order though, even if you're not throwing any codes. Nice move on the installer to save everything as it will help with resale if you have all factory items on hand.

Unfortunately you can see in the short time the one pipe on each side is the main exit. Personally I think the tips stick out a little too much and wish that the installer would rotate the cuts to flow with the valance like the 13-14' GT500.

The stock GT resonator is a straight through design so removing it won't increase flow or hp. The EcoBoost resonator isn't a straight through design and is actually like a muffler with various baffles built into it.

I have a dumb question- Does changing the exhaust affect your different drive modes? I'm shopping for an '18 GT, and I am debating on which packages/options to get. Their is a HUGE price difference between the base model $33k and $51 with all the options.

If you get the active exhaust, you have to get an aftermarket exhaust that will work with it. The different driving modes change the tone of the exhaust when you get the active exhaust.

I did the same thing (muffler&resonator delete) then got tired of it after a while driving 60 miles a day. Then, I put widow maker venoms on it and it has a better tone and doesnt drone inside.
