2018 Mustang GT Snow Days on Bridgestone Blizzak WS80 Tires

First portion of video is driving with roads plowed, but still covered in snow
Trial in heavy snow starts at 14:04. Subdivision is buried in like 8 inches of snow, and the road has not been plowed.

I like to think that calling in to work for a single day of deep snow per year is acceptable. Rest of the light snow can be driven just fine. I previously had a 16 Camaro SS that drove up a hill of raw ice with these same tires.

Ok so mustangs are not winter cars... They sit too damn low. Unlessroads are plowed.... DO NOT DRIVE IN SNOW PERIOD... You gotta stay home or have a beater w a heater back up. Ik alot of people buy mystangs using all their funds... Dont do it if ya arent cool using it in nonsnow minths only...

I live in Arizona so I can use a mustang all year long bc no snow in the winter just a cool 40 degrees in the morning and 70s in the afternoon

Spraying the bottom just blows the salt further back up into the cracks n crevises.

This video was during a 13in snow storm, and was the first time being snowed in. The killer for me is starting on an uphill climb. Think if I stuck a ruler in that snow on the road, would have been 3 inches? These tires are only undefeatable if the roads have been plowed so there's only a packed snow layer to drive on. Thick and wet is where they struggle.

Best camera angle out there.. particularly for 6 Speed. Im on the verge of getting a V8 although im hung up on a '24 or not. I can score an earlier model at just over half of what a new '24 all decked out will cost.. snow is another consideration for me.

On the last trip out of the drive, why didn't you launch in 2nd gear? You were doing it on the first day. I'd have a stick and never launch in 1st when it's bad. Too much torque.

Even with the 4.09 rear gear, launching in 2nd requires a lot of clutch to not stall with the cams. Wasn't willing to burn that up over a snow day.

I think it's sorted, so will take the test when weather warms back up. The cold and the cams causes misfire codes on startup every now and then.

@@Karrottop009 LOL that sounds about right. I own and regularly drive a 2006 GT. Snow isn't it's strong suit. I got it stuck in my own driveway several times last winter. Fortunately I have neighbors who'll sit and laugh and drink beer for about 20 minutes, but then come over and help push.

You got me lol, totally computer generated footage from my multi-million dollar computer. But yeah, I would blame all of the economy tires being left on in the winter. Those are great for mpg, but terrible in wet weather.
