Damn i hate watching my habs lose but winning a high spot on the lottery would be nice this years even if not first. Of course Dahlin look incredible Adam Boqvist or Brady Tkachuk are looking awesome as well and are exactly what the Habs needs.
@NHLDraftCentral6 жыл бұрын
Brady Tkachuk is exactly what the habs need. A big strong centerman who can score. That would help a lot

Good ranking ! I would put McLeod and Kupari higher
@NHLDraftCentral6 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the feedback ! McLeod and Kupari could definitely rise in January. They just have to prove that they are better than the ones that are higher than them

Good Vid! Some people may be sleepin on Kupari, that’s fine, I believe Lundestrom and Kupari could both be excellent prospects, catch a glimpse at the World Juniors. Dobson may be a tad bit too high but it’s fine if you leave him there, just depends on a scouts preference with who is better, Wilde or Dobson as RD, I think McIsaac has fallen a bit out of favor, still and excellent Dman. Also don’t think Smith may not be a top 10 pick because of size but falls slightly out to 11-14. Merkley is just horrendous in his backend, elite offense tho. I see something like: Kupari #9 Smith #10 Dobson#11 Farabee #12 Wilde #13 Lundestrom #14 McIsaac #15 McLeod #16 Merkley falling to #20
@deutschlanddangler46176 жыл бұрын
Btw, I love your #1-8 and wouldn’t change a thing there as of now
@NHLDraftCentral6 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the suggestion ! Kapuri currently have some difficulties in Liiga, that's why he felt, but he could easily go up in Janurary. Merkley will fall in our next ranking, but Dobson and McIsaac seam solid Defenseman.
@deutschlanddangler46176 жыл бұрын
NHL Draft Central I know his stats look bad on paper, but it’s the Liigga, a pretty good year and he’s just 17. He has the skills, he just needs to produce and he’s proven to play well against his own age, let’s just see what he can do this World Juniors.
@deutschlanddangler46176 жыл бұрын
Dobson is a darkhorse, he could honestly be at 10 at the end of the year. McIsaac hasn’t fallen totally out of favor, just he hasn’t taken a massive leap in development, really good two way guy, it’s just his offense hasn’t taken a great leap from last year.
@NHLDraftCentral6 жыл бұрын
Totally agree with you for Dobson and McIsaac. Kapuri was one of the only player with Kotkaniemi that I didn't see play, so I just had his stats to rank him. After checking some games, maybe it will look like this. #9 Smith #10 Dobson #11 Kupari #12 Wilde #13 Kotkaniemi #14 Farabee #15 Lundestrom

7 goals in 7 games. Best goalscorer at WJC at the age of 17. He was dominating the championship

In the draft 2018 there is a lot of talent and what I think so 1 draft will be either R. Dahlin or F. Zadina and even when here at Zadina so it would be the successor of Oveckin but actually they are quite similar in terms of hockey but it is my opinion and somebody has its own ...?
@NHLDraftCentral6 жыл бұрын
Filip Zadina really impressed me in the WJC. He will definitely raise in Janurary. He plays a game similar to Kucherov in my opinion, but like you said, he could be the next Ovechikin.

Bouchard will, in my view, be the first Canadian selected no doubt. He's in tight race with Bodqvist for the second best D behind Dahlin. It's gonna be fun to watch because from the #2 slot to the 50/55, a lot can happen with so many talent incoming. Probably the deepest draft since a long time. Can we say it's gonna be 2008 all over again with so many excellent D?
@NHLDraftCentral6 жыл бұрын
Bouchard, Boqvist and even Hughes and Dobson are in the race for the #2 selected defensemen of the draft ! It's a deep draft for defenseman, and it's totally fair to compare it to 2008. It will be so fun to watch it all go down in June !
@simrouillard4586 жыл бұрын
Totally! Like Stan Bowman always used to say, a team never have enough of Right-handed Defenseman in his system (as they can turn into trade assets), I mean this draft is loaded with right-handed D (Dobson, Boqvist, Bouchard, Wilde, Merkley, Woo, Addison .......)
@NHLDraftCentral6 жыл бұрын
I think Dahlin, Boqvist, Hughes, Bouchard, Dobson, Smith, Wilde, Merkley, McIsaac, Woo, Samuelsson, Miller, Tychonick, Alexeyev, Addison, Lundkvist could all go in the first round. That would be 16 defenseman in the first round !!
@simrouillard4586 жыл бұрын
Unbelievable...that would be c-r-a-z-y! But at the same time, I guess because there are so many Ds available, the urge to pick one will be less and teams with multiple 2nd/3rd round picks (say MTL) could wait and reload on the D in the later rounds. Wich means, 2nd tier Defensemen (per exemple Tychonick, JBD, Samuelsson, Merkley, Addison) could all slip in the 2nd for the benefit of centermen, who could see their stock rise because there are few top end in this year class ...We have on occasions to think at the opposite of the common sense (if that make sense anyway...!)

Yeah totally make sense

@NHLDraftCentral6 жыл бұрын
Kosty Shalyev If Ottawa 2018 1st round pick turns out to be a Top 10 pick, Avs will received a 2019 1st rounder. So if Ottawa wins the lottery, they will have Dahlin

Tkachuk and Veleno are the only Elite centre. This draft is full of defensemen

NHL Draft Central i think kupari could be considered elite even tho hes going Under the radar rn
@NHLDraftCentral6 жыл бұрын
Kupari isn't consider Elite wet, but like every other prospect, that could change by the draft. Right now, he's #14 on my January Rankings and many scouts have said that he has top 6+ potential. He's the 3th best center in my opinion after Veleno and Lundeström.

With a really good top four (Dahlin, Svechnikov, Boqvist, Zadina), even if the team that finish last don't win the lottery, they will still have a very good prospect

Brady tkachuk is good as well
@dinethaltmann95826 жыл бұрын
I feel like Tkachuk could squeak into the top 3. That remains to be seen though
@NHLDraftCentral6 жыл бұрын
We just got to have 1 team in the top 3 who is high on Tkachuk and it will happen. I have Tkachuk at #5, but that's my personal rankings. Scouts could have Tkachuk higher on there list. I know by talking to some of them that Dahlin is #1, Svechnikov #2 and Zadina, Boqvist, Tkachuk and Hughes are all top 3 candidates. The highest Tkachuk as been ranked by a scout is #2, Dahlin #1, Svechnikov #1, Hughes #1, Boqvist #2.

Without the Draft lottery, Ottawa would currently have the #3 pick, they could have one of Svechnikov, Zadina, Boqvist, Tkachuk or Hughes. So that definitly have a chance on Brady Tkachuk
