Kenneth Watson oh yeah, this thing freakin flies! I was surprised, but it’s also nearly 400hp/400tq in a naturally aspirated V8 so it should move well.

In 2018 I was either gonna get a Nissan armada or a Infiniti qx80 but now in 2023 I wish I got the armada it was so much cheaper than the qx80 and it is basically the same car

This was a very detailed review loved that not only did you display car you actually explained a lot of useful details and featured the base model not one of the platinum versions. Best armada review so far excited to get ours! And surprisingly I think the cloth seats and doors look better than the leather seats. Any downsides of this armada besides of course gas? How’s maintenance? Thanks for the review

Lina M thank you! I don’t own this Armada so unfortunately I can’t say much about maintenance but from what I’m hearing this 5.6L Endurance V8 is solid. I know several Nissan owners (not Armadas though) with Over 150k miles on their vehicles. I would feel pretty good about reliability and repairs/maintenance should be relatively inexpensive.

Kenneth Watson MPG for the 4x2 is 14city/19hwy and 4x4 is 13city/18hwy with a 26 gal tank. So if your driving is City-only with the 4x4 version you’re looking at 338 miles to a tank.

I'm Really Considering the 2018 NISSAN ARMADA SV Later on this year But I'm Worried about the long term Reliability on This NISSAN ARMADA SUV V8

Kenneth Watson I think there is less that can go wrong with a naturally aspirated V8 and I know several Nissan owners (not Armadas though) who have over 150k miles on their vehicles. Regular maintenance (which should not be very expensive) should keep this thing running for a long time. I think it’s a solid choice for a large SUV - good luck with the purchase! 👍

There have been reports of starter issues in the 5.6 V8 Aramada engines. Other than that, they seem to be pretty reliable.

Engine-wise my '09 Armada was great. Annoying things that broke are leaky windshield washer reservoir, blocked windshield tubes, leaky air condition tank. All broke just after the standard warranty expired. Own it almost 8 years and I changed transmission oil once, tires also once and battery maybe every three years. That tail gate use lot of power to open and close and we got stranded couple times because of that while camping. Under body rusted rather quickly in midwest weather compared to another japanese cars I owned. Will I buy another Nissan? Nope...unless I have money to get that GT-R.

phi , I'm not sure if it should make a difference, but the new Aramadas are made in Japan. They are basically rebadged Nissan Patrols that the U.N. and the rest of the world gets. The Patrol has a very good reputation for dependability and ruggedness, and I'm pretty sure that will apply to the new Armada's as well.

Compared to the other nissan products the armada is very reliable. Proven 7 speed instead of the cvt garbage, and the 5.6 v8 that has been around for years. Basically everything in this has been in the qx56 (qx80) for almost 10 years. Should not be a problem long term.

Hey man, can you please stop moving the camera when trying to show details of the car? your camera /youtube conversion is not capable of keeping things sharp, and you end up smearing the entire scene. Just choose a good composition and leave it be, keep the camera standing completely still! If you MUST pan and zoom all over, at least give us a few seconds of steady footage at the end of each movement. Thx!
