As a kid, im crying while watching this. Man this was the team I loved watching every day and looked up to. Ever since the A's traded EVERYONE away I dont even wanna watch them anymore. Not that I'm not a true fan but that it's not the true team anymore. I miss this team so much. I even have Matt Chapman's number just because of him and I decided to play 3rd base because of him.

I literally can’t watch this video. I am a huge A’s fan. I went to 8 games this year they won 2 of them. The nostalgia is too hard 😢😢.

I still look back on these moments. This was one of the best A's teams of the 2010's. These teams were what truly got me into baseball. Fuck John Fisher for taking these great moments away from us.

No lucroy anymore. Do u think they will sign another catcher or ride with Phegley or Hermann?

@@ifonlycainwereabel2110 Hard to imagine A's offered Lucroy less than what Angels gave him but maybe that was the case. If A's were not willing to give Lucroy 3-4 million after how much he did for the pitching staff, it's doubtful they will acquire another catcher via trade or free agency So start season with the Phegley/Herrmann platoon? Seems very underwhelming but Lucroy didn't offer much in the way of offense. Maybe those two can combine to do more and provide adequate defense. I honestly don't know how good Herrmann is behind the plate. Perhaps at some point in 2019 catching prospect Murphy will get a shot and take over Phegley's spot in the platoon. But having issues with the rotation AND catcher position now is a bummer.

@@michaelchiorello147 Definitely sucks, but I hope one of those catchers have a breakout year. If not we will have a big hole behind the plate

@@ifonlycainwereabel2110 The 40 man roster looks awkward right now. A trade or two will hopefully balance it out. Because right now: too many outfielders, too many right handed relievers, and carrying Pinder AND Barreto on the opening day roster doesn't make sense if they plan to continue the opener-long man follower pitching arrangement once every 5 days. 1. A's front office and media can rave all they want about Luzardo. They can point out the tremendous rotation depth they'll have if Cotton, Gossett, Manaea, Triggs, and Puk (don't rush him now; keep him in the minors until 2020) all return on schedule. That's all fine and dandy. But what I wanna know is: WHO WILL BE THE ACE OF THE STAFF FOR THE FIRST HALF OF 2019? Is "ace" an outdated term for the A's brass? Will Melvin even designate one come spring training, assuming there are no more additions to rotation? If they bring back Jackson, odds are he at least temporarily gets thrust into this lofty position. He'd definitely be the best option to go opening day compared with what they have to work with right now. Still, I would prefer to see Beane and Forst utilize one of those extra outfielders AND/OR one of those redundant righties in the bullpen AND/OR Pinder or Barreto as trade chips to acquire an "ace potential" arm. 2. On the subject of Pinder and Barreto, if one HAD TO BE TRADED my guess is it's Barreto. Pinder's upside is his defensive versatility (he may be an even more valuable asset in the outfield than infield----although it seems the bulk of his injuries have come when he mans the grass). Barreto's upside is his bat. But I think Beane and Forst put more emphasis on their bench/utility players being versatile in the field than they do him having a potent bat; Canha the perfect example here. I think he has stuck around because he got himself acclimated to first base AND center field (neither were his natural position).

@@michaelchiorello147 i agree. We have too many rightys in general. We need southpaw pitchers too. Our "ace" right now is Fiers so we definitely need another proven starters.
