There's something so human and real about seeing these people speak about being so genuinely touched by each others' work. That, in and of itself, is beautiful.

*The last 20 minutes of CALL ME BY YOUR NAME.* I cried for the train station scene, cried again for Marzia, cried for Michael Stuhlbarg, and then that final scene arrived ... and BAM! *WATERFALLS!*

As far as CMBYN is concerned, so much has been spoken about the speech, the final few minutes. To me, the most heart breaking moment was when Elio calls his mom from the station to pick him up. The inflection in his voice when it cracks, as he digests the fact that he's just lost any real chance to be with his first love.

Lets do the same in the comments section: ME: The last time I cried watching a movie was with "I, Tonya". I teared up a little bit at the scene that Margot Robbie was looking in the mirror and trying not to cry while applying make up. Her acting was so good that it actually got to me. You go...

MRVEGAS I cried while watching call me by your name, when they are saying good bye at the train station, when Elio called his mom to pick him up and of course at the end when he is sitting in front of the fireplace.

I cried in I, Tonya too... The part at the end of the film when she gets her sentence, and she breaks down and asks the judge to send her to jail instead because skating is all she knows.

That moment was sad, but the one that got me happened a little before that. It's when everyone's getting on the boat and Peter says "Careful!" to make sure they don't hurt George, and they tell him he's dead and Peter pauses & says, "So be bloody careful with him!"

Or the part when you learn that Mark Rylances oldest son died and the next shot is him talking with the soliders. When that hit and i got why he went to Dunkirk, it did it for me.

Call me by your name, the overwhelming feeling of nostalgia and of an opportunity lost when his father is speaking to him at the end. I think a lot of people can relate to that feeling and it hit me like a ton of bricks.

Coco was an emotional ride for me. I love when the grandma sings the song at the end, because she went right back to her childhood and it made it her smile... o and the movie before that is arrival... Arrival that ending broke me.. and I sat till the end of the credits, because i couldnt bare the feelings i had.

How ridiculous - Greta Gerwig recalls that amazing scene in Dunkirk and I started welling up - just her description set me off. I must be getting soft or old. Also the scene near the end when the poor lad is in the newspaper in the end. I lost it at that point in the movie - losing it now, just typing this. Indeed, as mentioned elsewhere - a phenomenal year for cinema indeed.
