This is so refreshing! All that she’s been asked on the press tour was about her name, irish accent and Timothée Chalamet. I really enjoyed this conversation, it was actually really interesting and very natural, you’re so good Hazel!!
@rayatron89446 жыл бұрын
I love this series so much because unlike other interviews and interviewers Hazel really takes the time to get to know the actors work and you can tell she is really interested in what they have to say. It's more of a conversation then just "now here is the question now lets more onto the next" which is the vibe I get from a lot of interviews when a film is being promoted or when it comes to award season. You can also see the guests actually want to be there and are engaged in the conversation. It's nice because Hazel just talks to them as any other person and doesn't really put them on a pedestal giving us the sense that they are these unattainable stars. I dunno sometimes it seems in interviews the interviewer is more interested in the people because of their fame rather then their work and its just refreshing when Hazel has a guest and we really get to know them more as a person.
@moniquehead85406 жыл бұрын
Hazel, your interviews are easily my most anticipated videos to watch on KZbin. You have such an ease with each guest and the way you talk about film always has your guests respecting you and your opinion on their work within the first minute. I as a viewer care just as much about what you have to say as I do the actor/director/interviewee. Such a pleasure to watch 💞

I consider Saoirse Ronan to be a "Meryl Streep" level actor, and I have since I first saw her in "I Could Never Be Your Woman." I think her young age has kept her from winning at least one of the three Oscars she has already been nominated for, but she will most certainly win several over the course of her career (just as Streep has done). Beyond that, her beautiful personality and genuine friendliness are so refreshing to witness in these interviews. Yes, I am a fan, but I also recognize real class and quality when I see it.
@deaddoll13616 жыл бұрын
She's a great actor, but measuring greatness in Oscar wins is a folly as there have been way too many great performances overlooked to take them seriously as "the" measure. Her film legacy will ensure her greatness.

@georgiekelly19736 жыл бұрын
The greatest interviews are those in which you completely forget are interviews. You have a natural gift in making the Actor feel as though they’re conversing with a close friend, which allows us to see little bits of magic we would otherwise never get to experience. I find one of the joys about watching film is the collective experience afterwards when you share how it made you feel and finding out how it made another person feel a completely different way. Thank you for creating a such a safe, positive and collaborative space.
@Aboutnoone6 жыл бұрын
God Hazel, your interviews are just so right ! Because you actually share something with the person you interview instead of showing them off as an object to an audience who isn't even here. You don't do it for the audience, you actually have a conversation from human being to human being, from film addict to film addict, and that's so refreshing! And the special thing about your interviews is that I'll watch them even if I have no idea who the interviewee is. And i'm never disappointed :)

Roisin Conaty I've spent 3 years living across the world from home too, though it's the other way around for me (I'm from Hong Kong, lived in England for uni). I got so homesick and bad at independent living I actually fell into a wee bit of depression the first year. But when you return to the family home again you'll realise what you miss is a rose-tinted version of it; especially if you've spent a prolonged amount of time living alone, it gets hard to go back and live with your parents again as you save money for moving out...

Thank you for doing yet another brilliant interview. I’ve thought for years now that Saoirse Ronan is one of the best actors out there and will eclipse all those to come before. She projects such a full spectrum, such a complete “bandwidth” of the characters she portrays, and always with that “hint of flavour” of herself shining through, something that, to me, is always so much more interesting than a total loss of the actor’s own personality. Any YOU, always totally accommodating the person you interview, full-on human to full-on human, no dumb stock questions, all down-to-earth heart felt truth. Please never stop this series !
