I had a similar setup-90" Kenworth Aerodyne cabover with a 96" drom box behind. I had shower, toilet, refer, microwave, sink, 75gal water, 25gal gray water, 20gal toilet tank. And also with the bunk bed in the cab-could sleep 4-all on a 235" wheelbase, but weighed 25,000lbs for the tractor, and total empty weight was 46,000lbs. So I could haul 34,000lbs-which was way more than I usually hauled because I was with the Van Lines (where you see most of these kinds of trucks). Believe me when I say, once you can use the toilet, shower, shave, eat and sleep in the truck, ALL anxiety and stress goes away from trucking-it actually becomes fun!

Currently, I'm a bus driver but do most driving within the city. And as recent as last year, I've been thinking of trucking. And seeing trucks like this has renewed my thinking of jumping into it. Cuz my whole concern was the sleepers and how big they are. And in the past alot of them look small. Seeing this bigger one in this clip, WOW!

This is geared for husband and wife teams. My fiancé is a OTR driver and I’ve been a stylist 20 plus years and about to start trucking school in August. I’m excited to start another career and nervous all at the same time. We have been looking and shopping big bunks for a year and we’ve decided ARI with side door is the way to go for us. The only downside to owning a big bunk is the shippers with tight spaces.

Firstly, nobody can tell from the video the axle ratings on that truck. If you can by some miracle chance, please inform us. For the post part there is no reason to upgrade any axles or wheels on that Pete given the weight of the sleeper. Secondly trucking is about moving freight and freight equals weight. Hence moving weight makes money in the trucking business for the most part as the original post mentioned. The sleeper reduces the amount of weight that can be carried hence money. Normally you see trucks like this carrying specialized freight like refers or home movers, that have low freight weights. So in other words, you insulted a person who knew what they are talking about, yet you are in fact the one that looks like the uneducated moron. Think before you post idiot.

You other guys, well this industry has gone totally to shit. Specifically not the industry per-se but the people in it.Time was you would get on a radio and ask aa question and you'd get ten guys falling all over themselves to give you an answer. Usually ten different answers , but you could just pick one that seems to make sense. Now you get high strung assholes like some I see in some of these conversations who need to belittle their fellow drivers to bolster their own ego, if they even speak English. Real trucker? Those that have a big sleep like that are what?

I think you could condense it down a little as well as the price and still have something real nice. Special freight and delivery only. Maybe government payloads that need transport to specific outposts....but I could not imagine anything that would need a truck where an aircraft wouldn't suffice. A Galaxy can carry quite a load.

bosco358 agreed!! If your going to spend that kind of $ on a custom truck, it might as well be a good quality truck.
