Back to GREAT MotorMan videos! It is not just that I like Porsche automobiles: this is a story about a great car, referring to its several body styles and helping us 'Dreamers' make a wish list for the Porsche of today that we might like to have...and to have our drivers use!

Audi RS7 performance (605 HP currently) with electric motor added would be the closest I could think of. Though not sure that would be wise since in the same company/family. USA.

Awesome video as usual. If Porsche put the e-hybrid tech in a 911. I'd be all over that. But panamera turbo e-hybrid. That's completely bad ass

I live on Vancouver Island and have the absolute pleasure of driving our roads in a 944 turbo. My vote for a new competitor car would be to see this technology in a Ford SHO. I had a ‘15 SHO which has the 3.5 twin turbo Ecoboost making 365 hp. If Ford could add electricity-recovering brakes etc like Porsche and add electric power then that car would be a more affordable super-performing hybrid. I’d love to be able to charge free at the electric stations here and cut down the amount of fuel I use for smaller trips. I really enjoyed the video, and I hope to drive that track one day! Thanks

He did not mention , when driving that car on the hwy , the car engine will work a little harder and charge the battery in 40 min , so yes you can go on long trips with this car , without having to plug it in .

As far as I know, the Brabus B50 S-class is the closest thing I can think of to the Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid, but still 180 ponies short. Can you imagine how crazy an S65 AMG 4Matic+ hybrid will be? God daymn! I have a question, M, now that you drove 600hp+ cars with different propulsion combination as in different means to the same goal, which one do you prefer? An SCV8 like a Z06, Hellcat, CTS V? a TTV8 like the new x63 AMGs? A TTV12? or a Hybrid system like the Panamera?
@MrBrownsvillesfinest7 жыл бұрын
@motoman I believe Mercedes benz should create a hybrid version of the S63 amg. Given merc's common concerns of power, weight, and transmission, adding a hybrid edition dubbed the S63 E amg (e-amg should be color-filled with blue lettering) will help the rear of the vehicle burn rubber more vigorously and efficiently. It can possibly make it the ultimate uber-luxury & track vehicle. No need for a powered rear-spoiler (although it's cool to have). If such a S-class was designed (such as the upcoming amg gt four door) it change the game for BMW/Audi/Lexus/Jaguar. A calm MSRP starting at $150,000 would be perfect with options adding up to $200,000.

@ MotoManTV This is gonna sound crazy... A G30 bmw 5 series shell with an Alpina leather interior, the s85 v10 tuned to 600 horsepower, a 150 hp electric motor to shut up the prius drivers, the steering rack from an e39 m5, AWD, carbon brakes, a carbon roof, doors, hood, and spoiler. Throw in a titanium exhaust and m performance bits and I'd drop 200k. It should also have a luxury line that hides all of the carbon bits and some decent air suspension.

Hi, don’t know if there is enough demand for this, but is it possible to spice up the tech talk? You’re an engineer, right? Telling more about the know how going into creating today cars. From making TRIP steel/weaving kevlar to tire rubber compound...

From NYC. If you need a four-door, you need a daily driver that you can put passengers in comfortably. As a passenger in the front or back seat, I do not want a bone jarring sport ride. Even as the driver I want a comfortable cruiser that smooths out bumps flawlessly, BUT, I want to push the sport button when I’m alone - tighten the suspension - and spank that baby. If I can do that and also get great mileage of a hybrid, AND the car is cool outside and in - you’ve created a car that is all things great.-

I prophecy that Mercedes will come out with a Panamera fighter. Right now, Mercedes seems like the only German player that doesn't have a sportback/fastback four door in the game. Sure they have the couple-like CLS, but but still a sedan. Mercedes came out swinging against the 911 with the AMG GT. I bet Mercedes develops a hybrid AMG sportback that produces 650+ hp before 2020.

competitors: tesla model s p100d, aston martin rapide, audi rs7, mercedes cls63, bmw m6 grand coupe and porsche probably want to compete with; mercedes s65, bmw m7, audi s8 plus, jaguar xj and finally this cars biggest enemy in terms of performance is e63s. right now this panamera is the best eye candy and performs perfectly, maybe next generation rapide will look better and performs better with their v12, but until then panamera is king of all sedans. I am from Turkey btw.

I’m 100% sure that the lexus LS deserves a super powerful version. That car is fantastic, but it lacks the oomph. Id give it 650bhp and pay up to 140k.

UK, they should make an RS8 with around 700hp, and I would ~£140k for it with proper options (if I had the money of course!)

I'm a BMW fan. I've been one since driving a few on the Autobahn in the 80's so I'm gonna say BMW. I know the Porsche is almost as big as a 7 series but the design looks more Grand Coupe to me so I'm going to 6 series. I've been hearing about a new 8 series and if they do it maybe that will be a better choice but for now I'll say 6. One thing, I would like to have seen the inside and back seat of the regular wheelbase model.

Living in Europe we come to expect cars that are nimble and can handle corners. It is a very good car but way too expensive when compared to other options (RS7, M760, any large AMG, and the upcoming Bentley Continental Hybrid). And it is too heavy, by at least 200kg (420lbs) - they need to change the body materials to something lighter - if only to save the tyres. When the Bentley hybrid is released I expect that it will have a lot more power and torque than the Porsche but weigh only a little more - for the W12 expect something like 800BHP and 900Nm, and weigh about 2600Kg (about 5400lbs) and if mated to the V8 then still over 700BHP and 800Nm.

Other than the P 100D...The Porsche Pan/trubo/SEhybrid is the only "sports" car of it's type. Porsche knows it's customer base, as well as Mercedes Benz and their competitors, BMW and AUDI.. All of these manufactures has their own "markets" that they sell to. I think that theses car makers are making cars for their specific cliental. All of these car makers realize who the performance manufacture is and it's Porsche for the performance minded, then the rest who make "sporty" cars. The AMG branch of MB has there "sporty" cars, but not in the same vain as Porsche does.
