The 918 is not a boring car but the e-hybrid Panamera is because its so heavy and I am sure it doesn't handle that great its a car built for rich people who wants to get good range on the car and also the Panamera turbo will be so much better for driving and faster

Great video, and a beautiful design from Porsche. I like that your commentary ticked off all the points that Porsche enthusiasts are interested in while also introducing the car (and the model range) to potential customers looking for a (very) well-executed, upscale sedan. It's a good look at where Porsche is heading over the next several years, and very reassuring to those who worried that some of the driving character might be lost in the new cars: apparently not true!

I believe the Panamera is always out there to set the standard because of the room and how well it is to engineer it like the new 8 speed PDK or their new 3D burmester with almost 50% more power and more speakers than before not to mention massage seats and inno driving overall a great car to represent what the future is gonna look like. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

refined interior, high technology info entertainment system, very optimized powertrain conjunction, fuel efficiency and not ugly anymore. It doesn't matter if this car Isn't ridiculously fast, I would like to have a car with all this attributes as daily drive car and enjoy each available feature.

Interesting that he was praising the Burmester sound system. I have listened to it along with others I know and we never felt it stood up to its $6000+ add-on price point. In a lot of ways it sounded like the top sound system on lesser cars because Porsche's Sound Package Plus system is barely adequate. The best in-car factory-optional sound system I have ever listened to is the Mark Levinson system in Lexus vehicles. But I'm talking the system that was in Lexus cars about 10 years ago -- not the one today. The system they once put in the GS300/400 cars. That thing was a fricking animal. Ive heard the current Levinson system upgrades and I dont find them nearly as good. Maybe its because the first systems Lexus put in wanted to be so good it moved the bar and now they are just cashing in on his name.

The EA license is dead. You've got Assetto Corsa on the PC and potato consoles with three DLC packs of Porsche cars, and a Panamera Turbo available for free. Soon more Porsche's should start appearing all over the gaming landscape, I assume.

In E-Charge and E-Hold you're not using the electric motor, which means you're basically driving a 2.9 turbocharged V6 Panamera with the inevitable turbo lag, right?

One of the long-term reviewers mentioned that it still made some use of the electric motor in these modes just as it will bring the engine into play in the "electric only" mode if you demand more acceleration than the electric power can provide.I guess the transition from a supercharger to biturbo is driven by fuel consumption considerations.

Love the interior, it's beautiful. The exterior is still hideous I'm afraid, considering they started from the ground up I would've expected better. It really does look like a stretched 911, it's not a good look at all.
