The Allroad was built in Germany. The Q5 was not. The build quality on the Allroad is exceptionally better.

Great comparison. Another advantage of a wagon is that you can get to the skis or bikes on top of the roof easier. And if you have a Thule type roof box on top- you will have less problem going into parking garages with the shorter wagon than the taller SUV.
@VoHoO5 жыл бұрын
chunhaylee Absolutely, great point. We regularly load/unload roof boxes and bike racks on our Thule Aerobars...

Well you should have bought the previous version of the allroad 2014 or 2015. They were way better than the new ones are. Audi is getting cheaper an cheaper now. Only thing that makes allroad better is the fact that it is assembled in germany not in mexico like the cheap popular q5

Had to laugh when you said you see a crap-ton of Q5’s in the Bay Area - there are a crap-ton of Q5’s here in the Chicago area too. They definitely have become an alternative to the minivan for mid-upper income families.

Love your videos. Very informative, I may pull the trigger on a 2018 AllRoad Prestige. Fingers crossed as I'm still negotiating the price. Unfortunately the model build I need will have the aluminum inlay. Can't find a prestige in Oregon without it oddly enough.

Alexander Rebielak Good luck on the purchase! I think you’re lucky to get the Aluminum inlay. It goes a long way in brightening up the interior and making it look less like an old library 😁

How does the driving feel different in Q5? I particularly do not like the higher center of gravity of SUVs, and that is why I prefer wagons.
@VoHoO5 жыл бұрын
Han For an SUV, the Q5 drives well. But yes, it definitely feels a lot ‘floatier’ than the Allroad, especially since the Q5 doesn’t come with the adaptive dampers standard and that makes a HUGE difference on the Allroad

Q5 is a way cheap feeling car. I drove it for some time when my lovely fully loaded 2015 Q7 TDI 3.0 monster was in service and oh boy how I just missed it. Q5 doesn't even come close with design and materials used to old q7. There is no thigh support on short seats for driver. Armrests on both sides so low ang hard plastics. Very bad sides mirror placing on the doors so for safety resons when speeding in traffic must extra bend and double check for traffic so no to collide when fastly changing lanes. I had also 2013 allroad with super plush interior and I can say that new q5 is so cheap car that I would never buy it, not for the price over $25000 for that should be the real price for the product.

The nose looks like it was hit by a sitting elephant. I see so much XC70 copying. Perhaps XC70 still master. What a ugly nose. Conclusion: 2016 XC70 big time, gadgets I am sure are better but havent seen a car beating the XC70. Poor AUDI, trying so hard to beat the looks of the VOLVO. Its all about looks these days, the quality is the same, realy.

Your spelling is wrong.... it's not NOT " fluidly".... the correct term is "fluently"..... he speaks Indian-English..... the Indians try to speak the language of their White Master, but because their tongues have are tuned to speak Hindi, they end up with a completely different version of the English language.....
