Great video, really appreciate the tutorial. Especially like that you skipped all the screwing of the screws because I agree, no one wants to watch that! Great tip to write down the categories of how many screws are on each section. One little criticism though, and maybe it's just my OCD speaking... But did it drive anybody else crazy that you didn't take a few minutes to just vacuum out all the lint and wipe off the grime from inside before putting it back together? I hate the idea of those parts coming back together with it still so dirty inside. I know it collects there naturally but I'd say it's a little bit of a fire hazard just leaving it in there. And if I was purchasing a used reconditioned item like this it I would have wanted to get it clean having been cleaned inside when it was repaired... Just a thought, obviously unnecessary to this repair, but still kind of drove me a bit crazy! 😅

Hahaha 😂😂🤣 it drove me nuts for weeks. Then I forgot about it. This year my heat element went out again. I opened the dryer and the mess was there. I remembered how much it bugged me last time so this time I cleaned it out..

Great video. I was able to follow this and replace my element Question for you: now that I’ve put it back together, the heating element is working but there is no longer air coming out the vent. Are any of these steps potentially impacting exhaust or fan connectors?

No, my element went out twice already. I replaced it and the air still flows to the vent. The only thing I can think of is that compartment where the element lays. It's a stubborn peace and maybe something didn't fit back into place correctly? Either way, if the exhaust isn't going out, it's not safe to use. I would start taking it apart and checking the connections for sensors any possibly in the way of the flow.

It seems to be snapped in ok. At least when connecting it to that exhaust port in the back it will stay suspended without needing the support from the rack below. Do you know how the air enters this are?

Hello. Friends bought such a dryer, but it is not clear how to connect it. The diagram shows L1 and L2 with input voltages of 120/240 volts. Please write if you need to apply 2 different voltages, or one of them. We don't have a service close to where you can turn. Thanks in advance.

eBay. I looked at Amazon but found better replacement parts for a better price on eBay. It wasn't to much of a price difference though. Make sure to check reviews of seller and of item. Best of luck.

Why didn’t you show how you removed the control panel? Every video I’ve seen makes it seem as though it pops right off but it doesn’t😒

I apologise for that. I do mention in my video that a clip broke off for me when I was taking the control panel off. But it wasn't a big deal because I still had 2 more clips there. The way that one clip broke for me was because the panel wouldn't come off easy, I gave it a little more of a pull and it popped off the clip. There are 3 clips, just wiggle and try to pull up as you go. I hope this helps.

@@TheStrivering I did figure out a way to disengage the two clips at the bottom of the control panel near the center. I fashioned a hook out of a clothes hanger, and used that hook to pull the one tab at a time towards the back of the dryer until it released. After that, the control panel came right off. Hope it helps!

thanks all. got the control panel off too, wow. The clothes hanger worked on one at first but snagged and snapped it off. I got frustrated and used my palm, bottom of my fist to thump up and towards the of the dryer and it worked with one prong/hook intact . thanks for the video
