It is truly something superb to see and be in the activity when Vanguard won in 89, and then learned a new Vanguard and won 99, and then this. GAIL WOULD BE PROUD! I completely agree with you. Vanguard has set a new level of expectations for other drum corps to catch up with as always. This show is simply my favorite DCI show ever (probably cuz I only watch 21st century shows). The first time that I watched this show, I truly had no words to say (fitting for the show). I really hope they take the gold this year and after breaking 90 today, who knows if they will beat the devils score of 99.65?

Wow. I went to corps encore at Weber state yesterday, and this group was just amazing. Had me gaping the entire time. The choreography and sound were both just spot on, with fantastic use of set pieces. And that horn solo battle? So creative, and crisp! Just beautiful. They deserved first place 😁

That's simulating the marching....they're moving pretty fast at that point.

They're not going to do a full lift unless it's in the show...the days of a full lift if you were moving less than around an 8 to 5 stride died in the 70s.... And I'll argue the loud portion...SCV, BK, and others had plenty of power at the Rose Bowl show. I'm a BD alum...I played in the 2 valve G era, I remember trying to blow our DM off the podium during "La Fiesta." But to say modern corps lacks volume or precision is wrong.
